If Minor wants to hang his hat on personal milestones that are faked, good for him.  Cora should have pulled the team when the Rangers started that crap.

Was what Cora’s team did the inning before any different?  Or what Cora did on Tuesday, chasing stats?

What was up with Nolan throwing the first pitch into the ground? I just assumed he could still toss it in there with no problem.

Get rid of the temp stands on the sideline and add another covered area at the other end and you could make a nifty cricket ground.

Is it still going to be called Globe Life Park?

Are we going to have a Globe Life Field and a Globe Life Park next to each other? Seems a little stupid to me

Jerry should move the Cowboys there to see if it might actually provide a home field advantage for a change.

that seems like a lot of trouble for a league that will fold in 18 months

A big difference here is that the games are actually on espn, fox, etc. and not CBSSN. They also have much better financial backing.

Josh Hamilton arrested for accusations of injury to a child.

Former Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton was arrested Wednesday, accused of injury to a child, Keller police say.

According to NBC 5's media partner The Dallas Morning News, court records show Hamilton's ex-wife, Katie Hamilton, sought a protective order in early October on behalf of one of their three children.

Hamilton, 38, played for the Rangers from 2009-12 and in 2015. He played for the Los Angeles Angels from 2013-14.

The Rangers inducted Hamilton into their Hall of Fame before an August game against the Minnesota Twins.

Ex-MLB slugger Josh Hamilton was arrested in Fort Worth, Texas on Wednesday over an alleged child abuse incident.

The 38-year-old former Texas Rangers star surrendered to authorities and appeared in court to face a felony injury to a child criminal charge.

Details surrounding the allegation are unclear at this point, but we do know Hamilton was released on $35,000 bond ... and one of the conditions was not have contact with one of his daughters.

Hamilton was also ordered to stay away from any child under the age of 17, according to CBSDFW.com, which broke the story.

Hamilton was seen leaving the courtroom in a grey suit with multiple attorneys by his side.

Surprisingly, Hamilton was smiling on his way into the courthouse and didn't seem too bothered by the heavy allegations against him.

He is accused of physically assaulting his daughter on Sept. 30, according to Keller police records.

Hamilton’s three children were interviewed by Child Protective Services, which confirmed that only his oldest child was assaulted, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The girl told the interviewer that she made a comment that upset Hamilton. He then started to assault and throw things at her, records show.

“Her father threw a full water bottle at her in an overhand motion which hit her in the chest,” the warrant says.

The girl told investigators that her father was “cussing and yelling at her.”

He then pulled a chair out from under her feet and threw it at her. She was able to move, but the chair still struck her leg, the warrant says.

The chair broke, and Hamilton then grabbed the girl and she fell to the ground, bruising her hip. Hamilton then picked up the girl, threw her over his shoulder and carried to her room, the warrant says.

“I’m sorry,” the daughter yelled while Hamilton carried her.

When they got to the room, he threw her onto her bed, then used his hand to pin her face to the bed. While she was pinned, Hamilton hit the girl on her legs with his other hand, the record shows.

Hamilton then picked her up by her sweatshirt, causing the garment to rip. He then pushed her back on the bed and repeatedly hit her on the back and legs, the warrant says.

“I hope you go in front of the [expletive] judge and tell him what a terrible dad I am, so I don’t have to see you anymore and you don’t ever have to come to my house again,” Hamilton said to her, according to the police record.

While Hamilton was leaving the room, he told the girl to get her things ready for school. When she said she already had, he said, “Well aren’t you just the perfect child,” the document says.

Fucking sad stuff.  https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/crime/former-texas-ranger-josh-hamilton-faces-injury-to-child-charge/287-4a2b4dc6-1345-496f-a93f-b8ad57a78033

I hope he was drunk and high when he said that to his daughter. Because it would be even more disgusting if he was 100% sober and did that shit. What a disgrace of a human being

Fuck him either way. He's a fucking loser. He pretty much just ruined his relationship with his family because he can't control his actions.

It's not sad.  It's fucking bullshit.

People like that who commit those types of offenses against children should have their throats sliced.

He probably meant sad for his daughters who had to endure his behavior. He's a fucking loser and his family should never have any contact with him again. Although for various reasons, women keep gravitating back towards abusive men.

I just want to say fuck off to anybody that thinks I am a bad Texan for laughing at Astro misery today.  Oh, and fuck you Nellie Cruz!
If the aggy goes to the college playoffs one year (lol) you have to root for them since you are a Texan.

That's how it works

That’s fair because we are all going to root against Arlington and rejoice in your misery the next time your team tries but fails to finish a season with a winning record.

JD doin' work...

Rangers declined C Welington Castillo's $8 million option for 2020.

The Rangers acquired Castillo from the White Sox on Thursday, but the deal was more about them getting international slot money, as well. Castillo is now a free agent.

So with the Astros and Nationals winning World Series in the last few years, we are now down to one of the last 6 teams to not have won a World Series.

Texas, Seattle, Tampa Bay, Colorado, Milwaukee, San Diego.
