Cooking with Bird Martinez.  Found this when looking around for a Carne Apache recipe.  She's a ghetto chola that goes on tangents about CPS visiting her.  Pretty sure Vic is probably a subscriber.

Man, this is gold! Subbed, thank you.

the pacing of guga foods voice overs drives me nuts.  i'm almost certain he's cutting out the spacing between sentences in post.  combine that with the drawing out of the final word in each sentence and i want to stab my eardrums with a pencil.

also, everyone watches gourmet makes, right?

Came here to post Kenji's recent go pro vids.

I LOVE the scientific information/presentation/no-nonsense that both Alton (the GOAT) and Kenji provide.

Big fan of Binging with Babish too, fast videos with good production and fun attitude.

gennaro contaldo for italian food.  he has his own channel, but is also hosted on jamie oliver's

at home i cook mostly italian, but i got too obsessive about it, following people who over-experiment and over-deconstruct with the stuff (e.g. seriouseats).

gennaro keeps it ultra simple and fast -- which is really i think the spirit of the food -- and its also ultra tasty.  he seems a bit caricaturish and jamie oliver is a knob, but the food is legit.

For Cantonese recipes I go to madewithlau

Jean Pierre for Western food

A cooking show I enjoy is Selena and Chef.  It's Selena Gomez during the pandemic learning to cook.  She invites random celebrity chefs to teach her how to cook.  It's good for beginners but they go on a super wide range of food to cook.

Reviving this thread.  This is my most recent Instagram food follow.  She strikes me as a straight shooter with upper-management written all over her.

This is a good one if you like Italian cuisine. Every recipe of his I've made has slammed.

https://www.youtube.com/@NOTANOTHERCOOKINGSHOW/videos

his stuff is great. really enjoy it., and he has a ton of back videos to watch

few other accounts i've enjoyed recently, in no specific order

zachwiththefatback: https://www.tiktok.com/@zachwiththefatback

his stuff is excellent, i like his mexican-style recipes more but his entire process is good

Brian Langerstrom: https://www.youtube.com/weedssardines

also very good. recipe videos are solid and i like his filming style. also just did a collab w/ Ethan Cheblowski (who is also very very good)

anything grilling/smoking: Chud is a great starting point https://www.youtube.com/@ChudsBbq

Grillin with Dad is good: https://www.instagram.com/grillin_with_dad/

Shay Spence has some good recipes out there, he does non cooking content too, but i ignore those\: https://www.instagram.com/theshayspence/?hl=en

Tone (TFTI BBQ) is really damn good too: https://www.tiktok.com/@tfti.bbq?lang=en

I get a lot of really good ideas/pointers/useful tips from Meat Church.  Plus, it just seems like that guy is always having a blast smoking/grilling and drinking.

I'm going to assume someone in here will ruin it with a diatribe about how he's a poseur, or a huge asshole off-camera.  As is the Surly way.

Oh yah, the Meat Church stuff is great, and he's always doing some good shit.....

.....Too bad he's a real asshole off camera. But if you like poseurs, that's cool.
