Even IF one assumes this is true (it isn't), the dumbass doesnβt even get the implications of what he's saying. I'll rephrase for him: I know that your university only had the balls to join all the cheaters once the rules were changed and paying players - which all of us here in SEC land were already doing via bags under the table - became legal and the playing field was leveled.17 points

After consecutive 2-hitters to close out the sweep of aggy, the Mizzou pitching staff gave up 25 runs tonight. MSU hit an SEC record 8 homers.16 points

I asked about this guy and Howard to one of the best evaluators in the business. His view is that this staff is developing really well and they have everything needed to become excellent CFB dbs and Howard could easily be transformed into an early round pick if he really wants to put in the work and stay healthy. Apparently the Riley guy has ridiculous instincts? If heβs one of those dbs who can see the future, they donβt come around every cycle. Probably wishcasting to that level, but should be fun to watch. Theyβre definitely looking for guys they can develop who wonβt be hitting the portal after one fall semester. Theyβre still going to take any of the highly ranked guys that they can reel in at db.14 points

Gotta give it up for ARod last night. Collected a pair of doubles when we were desperately needing offense. Got hit around the knee in another AB, then swiped a bag anyway. Plus drew a walk. I think anyone whining about his D needs to see the whole picture of what we have in this kid. He's a freshman switch hitter who in the short term has had to bat lefty against every pitcher, due to injury... but still produces when it really matters. Great to have him in burnt orange.14 points

Honestly, the problem is far less the Democratic parties fault, although of course, they bear some fault, then it is the destruction of news that pretends to be objective. Having spent at least seven decades on this planet, it is my opinion that we have essentially the same amount of uneducated gullible mooks as we ever did. What we did not have are supposed news outlets like Fox News spreading completely false news to injure one political party while completely ignoring the broadcast of news problematic for their preferred political party. And while I get that people will depend on Facebook and their friends and family for some information, it was Rush and the GOP who convinced a large part of the country that there is absolutely no true fact to be gleaned by reading the Washington Post or New York Times or any newspaper that is not MAGA supportive. I grew up watching the news in the 60s and the objective facts in the ABC NBC and CBS nightly shows did not vary that much in content. They more or less gave straight news reporting and then people argued about what the facts meant. There were no such things as alternative facts. THAT situation is the most damaging. Once you convince a large portion of America that they are a disloyal non-patriot if they receive news from anywhere but the Dear Leaderβs source, there is nothing a democrat can say on a stump speech or commercial that will penetrate through that thick steel curtain of stupidity. When people talk about the better talking points that Democrats could make, they gloss over the fact that a third of the country will never see that point - or if the commercial starts to come on - they will turn the channel or start talking transgender operations during the rest of it. Advocating for better messaging is obviously a great thing, but it seems to ignore that one side has made it a religion not to listen to or believe that messaging, be it better or not. That in my opinion is the bigger problem. A third of the country totally embraces self-induced voluntary ignorance of the other sideβs alleged facts. Until that changes, there is very little that the Democrats can do except wait for the GOP to run the country so far in the ground that they look for an alternative.10 points

CJ Vogel The Longhorns continue their hot stretch with a commitment from 2026 Austin Anderson DB Yaheim Riley Friday afternoon! Riley had previously been committed to Houston before a Texas offer gave him second thoughts and eventually the commitment comes as the 8th in the class for the Longhorns. Riley joins Hayward Howard Jr. and potentially Jermaine Bishop Jr. as defensive backs in the class. Riley has been recruited as a nickel and it was clear the Longhorns prioritized his game after he visited in late spring and was escorted out by the entire coaching staff, including a personal escort to his car by Duane Akina. The Austin area defensive back trains with Bam Performance out of the Austin area, the same guy Andrew Mukuba, Michael Taaffe, Jahdae Barron, Jelani McDonald and several other Longhorns have worked with since arriving on the 40 Acres. Congrats to Yahiem and welcome to the Texas 2026 class.10 points

I can think of a lot of words to describe recruiting right now - satisfying, exciting, fun, wonderful, enjoyable - the list goes on. Boring, however, is not among them.10 points

I fully support the game show under one condition. Stephen Miller and Noem have to participate and, if at the end, the immigrants are more knowledgeable about America and the Constitution then those 2 get voted off the island.10 points
