  3. What’s sad is that he is the mirror. He is what the American electorate wants and is. Let’s look at the examples and don’t tell me that you don’t know LOTS of people just like this or value these things or want this: He’s a reality tv star. He was born rich, doesn’t really do anything, gets to be on TV, and fails up. He has no empathy, when things get hard and fails, he claims victory. He looks for easy answers to hard questions constantly and then just believes them. Constantly spouts conspiracy theories and takes no agency for his life when things are bad and claims all credit if they’re going well. When faced with overwhelming evidence he just ignores it or lies and said he never said it / believed it. He learns nothing and forms no new opinions. He has no grasp of history outside of the bubble of his own experiences and how he perceived them at that moment without the context of history. Like some sort of feedback loop of no historical context for anything. He’s all grievance. He’s selfish. List goes on and on. So many people are a multitude of these. But it took one special human being to embody them all. He truly is a singular figure in his lack of intelligence, ability to get to the top, lack of any emotional intelligence, and ability to connect with the majority of the electorate. When you step back it’s staggering.

  4. Tell him to open his borders to all Americans with a 120+ IQ and he'll get to meet a lot of people who understand how embarrassing it is.

  5. Florida has averaged 11 points per game in their last three. Oklahoma scored fewer points against Illinois State than we did against San Jose State and they have the worst running game in the SEC. Georgia scored 28 against Austin Peay. Vanderbilt gave up more points to Georgia State than Texas did against the #1 team in the nation. A&M's defense has given up 86 points in 3 games. There's a very decent chance Texas won't allow 86 points until late October. Some of y'all talk football like Texas is the only team you ever watch and you hate watch every second of it.

  6. Update after 4 games: -Kyle Flood still needs to be fired, right fucking now. -"We played like shit the first 3 games and don't even fucking talk to me about defense. Why would I care about the Texas defense when the offense is chock full of fatasses and dullards who cannot improve?" -The Texas defense is probably worse this season. -The interior DL is probably worse this season. -Guilbeau is probably going to cost Texas multiple games. -Arch Manning is going to cost Texas multiple games. -Connor Stroh is going to cost Texas multiple games. -Florida will play their best game of the year against Texas. -Vanderbilt is a fucking concern. -Arkansas is going to be a problem. -Forget the playoffs. -The running game is incapable of improvement. -Sarkisian has likely held nothing back for use in upcoming match-ups. We've seen this offense and it fucking sucks. -Kwiatkowski has likely held nothing back for use in upcoming match-ups. We've seen this defense and it's just okay. -Expect other teams to keep getting better. -Do not expect Texas to get any better.

  7. It's been 16 years since we beat blOU in back-to-back seasons and retained the Golden Hat. I don't care if a tornado sweeps away blOU's entire QB room and they have to slap a helmet on some random methhead under a Norman overpass. We need to fucking beat them.

  10. Fuck the college football world if they can't take a joke. I'll take the wins however they come. No one deserves more shit being shoveled in their face than OU. They just fucking overtly cheated in the game in which he got injured. Karma is a motherfucker.

  13. Ahh, yes. The halcyon days of 2020, where everything made sense and for which everyone should be held accountable for the rest of their lives and should never live down anything that they got wrong during that period. Right. I don't really follow half the shit some of you guys get bent out of shape over, this Gundy stuff included, but seeing someone act incredulous over the notion that people checked out during that psychotic year of dystopian bullshit is fucking comical. All of the political whining, fear-mongering and potshotting about Gundy's personal views is fucking boring, as usual. It comes up every.fucking.time.he's.mentioned. The guy is a character who will say both funny and idiotic shit about football and would be awesome if given a slot on one of the CFB platforms. While not true of the demographics of this site, for the most part, most viewers would find him entertaining and not give one shit about viewpoints he espoused 5+ years ago. It's a given that he's a clown. That has been known and mocked about him for 2 decades. He had a fucking mullet for years, for Christ's sake.

  14. No. I had a very different experience on the way to Kyle (the one bad part of the trip). One of my buddies got separated from the rest of us wandering into the game, and I'm yelling at him over the phone out front of Kyle Field, undoubtedly dropping F-bombs, when some unhinged old guy runs up to me (I'm like 23 at this point) and almost rips the phone at of my hand and starts screaming at me about how "WAY DON'T TALLK LIKE THAT IN FRUNT OF WIMMIN SUN". I was just utterly shell shocked, and his entourage quickly peeled him away from me before I had a chance to even consider a reaction. My buddies and I just stand there stunned, when some other guys our age run up to us and say "Y'all know who that was? You just got your ass chewed by RC Slocum?". Utterly surreal moment. We found my buddy shortly after, and then he dropped an F bomb during the game, and some lady behind us grabbed a state trooper, who drug us up to the concourse and threatened to arrest us for public intox. Everyone else was pretty cool though.

  15. 🤘 I broke the Mateer news on a friend text chain littered with Sooner fans. And just responding with the crying laughing emoji on all their responses. These pieces of shit have been jerking off over Arch's struggles, let them wallow in this shit.

  16. You and others bring up the "Gundy is a big conservative meanie!!! that t-shirt!! that fucking t-shirt!!!" stuff every time anyone says anything about the guy. I was mostly paying attention when the story happened and don't remember it being much of anything. It certainly wasn't some "in-your-face" national story for weeks or months. GTFOOH with those histrionics. If you made it a big story to follow in your own world, cool, that's on you. You lazily and angrily resort to banal name-calling the minute you feel your worldview even getting a teeny bit challenged. You did the same shit with the Arkansas QB who wound up being falsely accused of rape when a few of us simply mentioned wanting to understand the story better. Calling someone a "fucking weird bitch" and a "god damn freak" and then telling them they're mad is unintentionally ironic and funny, though, so you have that. There isn't a sane person reading this thread who could look at my prior post and then see yours and think "well, yes, that looks proportional".

  17. Fuck Sinclair. Why would Kimmel give a contribution to a political group he probably strongly disagrees with? Because Sinclair is owned by a MAGA family and wants to censor speech critical of the president. They need to break up these media conglomerates. We need to go back to the Fairness Doctrine, and limited ownership of newspapers, radio stations and TV stations.

  23. You've articulated all of that multiple times on this thread. It's clear you think voicing all of it repeatedly is productive. You're doing it to make yourself feel better. "If I voice my concerns about all of the worst case scenarios coalescing at the same moment in time, at least others can understand our potential future state and I won't have to be Cassandra alone." You're now taking the position that the defense might be worse than last season. I expect to see you attempting to start really fleshing this paranoia out, while dismissing every performance leading up to your next post. Texas will shut down the UF offense, but you'll be back here wringing hands over how mid-passer Mateer is going to make our idiot coaches pay for their arrogance in putting Guilbeau on an island or some shit. Or you'll argue concerns over the pass rush not getting home or some other shadow that needs to be boxed. You've completely dismissed the results for the running game versus Ohio State because you think OSU strategically deployed a bend but don't break defense and that they could have just shut the Texas run game down if they'd chosen to do so. That's convenient because it unlocks your ability to lament, repeatedly, that Texas isn't going to move the ball well against decent to great fronts (as though every other team does). Then that feeds into "Arch Manning has to be good to great or we're fucked" sentiments and also allows you to highlight that you're not sure the skill guys are there to render aid, either. Then you sprinkle in thoughts about how the RB sucks and the true freshman is the best player there and needs to get the lion's share of the snaps, even though you have no fucking idea how good or bad he is in pass pro or as a receiver out of the backfield, both of which are facets that are kind of important to being a good RB in the Sarkisian offense. Meanwhile, you openly ponder the risk of playing the best version of every team left on the schedule, who will all apparently get better and build improvement for their weaknesses while Texas fails to get better on any end. We get it. Thanks.

  25. the narrative? who cares about the narrative? OU can spend all offseason puffing up their chest and playing the "what if" game for all I care. was Alabama sad that they had to beat a Garret Gilbert-led Texas team in the NC? Or did they just celebrate the NC and say fuck the narrative?
