  1. Sarkisian went on the SEC morning show today and doubled down on both Texas deserving to be in the playoffs and reconsidering the OOC schedule going forward. He basically said, with the SEC going to 9 conference games, playing a major OOC foe is pointless with the way those losses are currently viewed. He took a number of thinly veiled potshots at the 2 loss teams ahead of Texas, with which I agreed. I don't expect Texas to cancel the home games versus OSU and Michigan, since Texas has already played both on the road. I will be surprised if Texas does not cancel the Notre Dame series. Someone needs to take the step of deplatforming ND and giving them little recourse. They will continue to weasel their way into the CFP until conferences uniformly stop scheduling them. The ND schedule next season is the absolute worst joke in CFB heading into the 2026 cycle. It's fucking sickening. I hate the premise of the OOC being comprised of 3 cupcakes including the boring likes of Rutgers, Purdue, and Wake Forest but it feels like that's where this debacle is headed. Auerbach is being really optimistic about the committee. I don't expect bravery to come from a committee of admins and old coaches.

  2. Not to mention the β€œFuneral Bowl” (after the Bonfire tragedy) where the LHB played a beautiful rendition of β€œAmazing Grace” at halftime to honor the dead victims, only to be followed by the tiny dick aggy corps band doing their usual worn out saw β€˜em off schtick.

  8. I've seen the full video from Air Force One, but here's the most relevant part, and looking like they'll try to find a scapegoat: Trump: "No, I wouldn't have wanted that. Not a second strike…Pete said that didn't happen." Q: "Are you saying there was no second strike?" Trump: "I don't know. I'm going to find out. But Pete said he did not order the death of those two men."

You are a very hard person to study, because you are sending out messages that are important to the Venuzuelan people. I consider you a friend and I consider you a very smart man. To be very honest with you, I did not want to have to hurt you or your country, but we need to fix this and you are going to change your country to prevent some very bad things from- MADURO: Senior El Presidente Trump, we cannot accomplish this important thing together on the phone. I want to invite you to chupa. POTUS: To Chupa? MADURA: Si Presidente Trump, I want to invite you to chupa mi verga, viejo de merda! (laughter in background) POTUS: Nicolas? Nicolas? 13. I understand that officials almost never get fired or demoted for bad calls. And it looks like poor sports to bring it up. But how in the fuck are the refs that watched Wingo get tackled by two players still employed? I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an egregious non call.

  15. I'm resigned to no cfp this year and I've talked myself into "maybe it's for the best." If that's the case, they can use the bowl to get some younger players reps, focus a little more on development and a little less on must win. Resigned as I am, I'm happy. I don't think Sark lost the locker room. I don't believe Texas players play for checks and have no loyalty to the program. I do believe we have one of the top 5 coaches in the country. They'll probably give the damned bryant coach of the year award to fat ralphie grindr, and I wouldn't trade. And don't forget. He's aggy's second choice - jimbo - their first choice, is still out there cashing checks. Don't want Kirby, don't want Lane and damned sure don't want Day. From my perspective, right now, the program is hitting on all cylinders. Game experience - maybe best in the country. Recruiting - maybe best in the country. Beating rivals - yep. If I'm a high school kid looking around the country trying to figure out where I want to play football, I would have a very hard time saying "no" to Texas. I think we will soon level up to Georgia/Ohio State level and smash some mofos. So, good job this year Sark. Not flawless, but good.

  16. Win or lose against BYU, I'm still hoping for a Tech v. aggy first round matchup in which aggy closes out its season with losses to Texas and Tech. If Texas doesn't make it in, that would still be a satisfying CFP for me.

  18. I ignorantly thought that expanding the playoff would encourage better OOC matchups and give the fans a better product the first month of the season because teams would have more margin for error. Instead, it actually made it worse. Now you can game the system because it doesn't matter who you beat, it only matters how many losses you have. This has been the dumbest sport for the longest time, and with every postseason iteration change they seem to make it dumber. It was better when you woke up New Years Day and hoped that so and so lost in the Orange Bowl or the Rose Bowl and that you won the Cotton Bowl to determine who was number 1.

  19. The word is that the program is ready to be very aggressive in the portal across the roster in order to maximize Manning's last season. There's been handwringing about retention and allocation for a while, but those same handwringers are now extremely bullish about being aggressive. IOL, TB, TE, WR are all priorities. There's less concern on the defensive side of the DC, although that doesn't mean they're not going to be pursuing difference makers at every spot and trying to find depth in a few places as well. I'm from Missouri on this cycle, personally. I think they're just going to cut bait on some of the higher rated, big contract guys who haven't done anything yet, whether that's premature or not being irrelevant. 2026 is supposed to be the year where it all comes together.

  25. We understand your position on this, as you've hammered every fucking page of several threads repeating it. Many of the rest of us would prefer to see good OOC games because we actually enjoy the sport. @immamac's point, which you either can't grasp or simply ignored, is that the committee can change the notion on "margin for error" by bringing Texas into the fold.

  32. I mean bama was precariously close to losing to auburn. The loss to Oklahoma is pretty bad, but they beat Georgia and that counts for something. We beat a&m and it is going to count for something. If the committee wants to fuck around and find out on the Ohio State loss that's what we are going to see play out. This is as cut and dry of a situation to set precedent as possible. If they want these types of games to continue they put Texas in. If they want everyone to cancel ooc matchups outside the playoffs they will have Texas be the first team out.
