  2. Irish, UncleBuck and OnAComputer/Will Baizer are doing their level best to make something highly entertaining really, really dorked out with their bullshit around attempting to debunk this stuff. We don’t need a fucking splash of cold water here. There is no downside to this thread or sending the smattering of data out to various groups. You don’t fucking know better. Shut the fuck up. I faced this same shit when working the Lyles/Seastrunk/Oregon chicanery from Shaggy outward with the help of some folks in the CFB world. Then Yahoo picked it up and the next thing you know, wow, there was actual fucking corruption. This situation is no different and aggie asked for it. FWK did a deal. He coordinated it through Hamm and Karen Johnson with ATM. When Texas and others got in Demas’ ear through legitimate routes after he committed, he attempted to then decommit. Then a big round-up phone call happens and Demas gets religion. From there, he moves schools and never seriously reconsiders anyone. Go take a fucking look back at that last fall. Take a look at the plain facts pointed out here. This is how corruption works in NCAA recruiting. Schools get away with it usually because they’re not this stupid and because they rely on the naïveté and incredulity of the fanbases as well. A guy like Baizer showing up to tell everyone how wrong everyone else is because he occasionally talks to recruits and somehow gets paid for it only adds, unwittingly, to the obfuscation.

  3. Negged for lying and projecting. It is imperative for someone wicked to believe all are wicked. I don't care about people of color. Nobody does. (lie) I don't want to pay taxes for anything that benefits other people. Nobody does. (lie) The second one is a double lie because of the disingenuous characterization of "paying more taxes." Nobody wants to pay excess taxes for items that just benefit the wealthy or produce no real good for the country. People who think as you do have abandoned any notion of being a citizen. You want all the benefits and fuck everyone else. Parasite. A decently functioning republic requires involved citizens making decisions for the common good.

  4. I’ve been meaning to write this post for a few months but have ended up busy with some other shit. With the season upon us, though, I knew it was now or never (damn, it feels good to write those words). In any event, this was an RPO package I noticed in the Spring Game that I haven’t seen anyone else talk about. This RPO package is a frontside QB counter (or QB GT, because both the Guard and Tackle pull), with a backside RB flare route. The TE runs an arc to the alley, looking to block first force. Here’s the Xs & Os draw up: Texas ran this play three times in the spring game--all three times by Casey Thompson. Here's a look at each. First play: Thompson QB Keeper: The first time Texas ran the play, Thompson kept the ball, turning the play into an almost twenty yard gain. Marcus Tillman (13) does a great job, clearly knowing he has responsibility for the RB's route. But watch the effect of the TE and RB's action on Luke Brockermeyer (#47), who takes two false steps toward the field, allowing Reese Moore (76) to complete his wrap and seal him inside. Tope Imade (67) does a nice job of getting into position to block Byron Vaughns (50), although his execution of the block leaves something to be desired (what old school OL coaches would call "titty rubbin"). Vaughns makes minimal effort to actually get off the block, though, so Imade's block succeeds. It is not clear whether there's a real RPO on this play, or whether it just an action look with a called run. The second gif sure looks like Thompson is reading Brockermeyer and decides to keep it after seeing his false steps. Second play: Mr. Glass in the Flats Later that same quarter, Texas ran the play again, with the RB flat action again going toward the field side. This time, though, Thompson threw the flare to Kirk Johnson, who turned the play into a seven of eight yard game. It is worth noting that Johnson was hit by three defenders on this play and, miraculously, did not burst into fractals of himself. Unlike Brockermeyer's hesitation on play 1, Caleb Johnson (30) attacks upfield at the initial action. Again, whether there's an actual read being performed by Thomspon or not is unclear. But if there was, Johnson's response would have forced the pass. Thompson puts the ball slightly behind Johnson, instead of leading him, but it actually allows more time for Johnson's blocks to develop. Unlike Tillman in the original clip, Cort Jaquess (57) lacks the speed to actually flow to the flat with the RB. He ends up getting caught up in Kai Jarmon's (88) block on Donovan Duvernay (27). Side note: the fact that walk on sophomore Kai Jarmon can seal off Duvernay this well is not a great look for Duvernay--in his fourth year with the program. From the slot, Jordan Pouncey (86) takes Mason Ramirez (28) for an absolute ride. Although Wiley (18) does a nice job of looking for first force, he does a terrible job of getting actually finding work or getting ready to make a block. And Hank Coutoumanos (41) blows right past him to make the tackle. Third play: Things fall apart; the center cannot hold. Texas went back to the well one more time behalf the half. It went.... not great. This actually looks like it was supposed to be a pass. If you watch Bru McCoy (RIP) at the bottom of the screen, he runs a hitch, instead of stalk-blocking the CB. But Orlando responds to the look with the most Orlando of responses: Fuck it, let's blitz. Orlando sends 7, although Mason Ramirez (28) does a great job of ditching his blitz and following the RB out of the backfield. If he doesn't do that, the flare might have been able to nibble off some positive yards. Overshown (31) is screaming to the RB, too. Danny Young is very happy the ball was not thrown to him. Side note: Watch for teams overscheming for this by sending their FS over the top to help on the RB flare (as Overshown does here), which will leave the arc-ing tight end wide open down the middle of the field. The OL gets absolutely gobbled up by Orlando's blitz. Leitao (81) has no idea what to do, as most of the defense runs across his face. Thompson does a nice job of eating the ball, rather than forcing the issue, given that this is almost certainly a called pass. Conclusion What's the import of this? Why is this specific RPO set interesting? This is an interesting RPO set, because it shows some air raidy fingerprints of Beaty/Fedora in our RPO game. And it's something that can be super weaponized with an even more spread out field. As an example of the Air Raid tie, here's OU running the exact same look with Kyler Murray in their spring game a few years ago: I mentioned the TE Seam route above, here's what that would look like: QB GT-Y Seam And this QB GT can be run from any formation, and might by most devastating with Ehlinger from an empty set look: QB GT RPO: Empty Set Or invert the flare route/bubble screen into the jail break screen that Herman loves to call against aggressive defenses: The bottom line is: I'm excited to see us roll out this RPO concept (and others) this year, and I think our offensive analysts will add some big time dynamism to this offense.

  7. There is one party that is clearly more fiscally conservative than the other. Objectively, based on numbers and deficits. Not even a debate. There is of course only one party that is socially liberal/libertarian. It's the same party. I've always considered myself fiscally conservative and socially liberal and when I was younger, felt, like you, that neither party represented both of those. Then as I watched four presidents in my adult lifetime, and noticed that the two most fiscally irresponsible were Trump and Bush, the lie we've been fed is apparent. The Republicans are socially conservative and fiscally liberal. The Dems aren't perfect, but they are more socially liberal and far more fiscally conservative than their counterparts. "I am fiscally conservative" from Republicans is nothing more than a wink-and-nod statement that you hate "welfare queens" who shop with food stamps and drive away in their Cadillac. You're right. There are a lot of us "leave my wallet and my rights alone". But if you're that, there's only one choice.

  8. Yeah, as of now this isn't some smoking gun of all the dirty shit that's going on. But there are definitely issues worthy of looking into. 1. Demas testifies before the UIL State Executive Committee that he has only been at the Dunns' a couple of nights, maybe a few. Mrs. Dunn later posts on Facebook that he's been with them for a year. So immediately we have reason to believe that false testimony was given to the committee in an attempt to secure his eligibility. Nothing to worry about at the NCAA level yet. 2. A public employee testifies before the same committee that he was told by active NCAA coaches that a private trainer, Whitfield, was "shopping" Dunn and Demas around. Definitely something to worry about at the NCAA level. 3. Whitfield's business is located on land owned by the Dunns' company Dunnco/Dunn Development Corporation/whatever subsidiary it's officially owned by, the family whose wife/mother publicly stated that Demas has been living with them for a year. 4. The Dunns claim that it was all about rescuing a good kid from a nightmarish situation in North Forest where drugs and murders are commonplace. In fact, Demas lost a younger sibling to a murder. Oh, by the way, Demas's still living younger siblings were left back there in the horror movie hellscape when he moved to their 5,800+ square foot home on 1.2 acres in Tomball. These facts, attested to by Mrs. Dunn, seem to describe some questionable behavior at worst, and self-aggrandizing emoting on social media at best. 5. A fan website that is in a business relationship with an NCAA institution, and in fact is basically a recruiting arm of the University run by boosters, spent time attempting to improve the profile of the Dunns' son in hopes of getting him an NCAA scholarship. Occam's Razor may be able to tell us a lot of things from there, but at a minimum we have false testimony to the UIL (don't really care because they got the decision correct as though they knew it was false, plus it's not a big national story), testimony that a prospect is being shopped in a package to NCAA universities (possible big story if it's researched further, also potentially a crime committed by the trainer under Texas law), and a very scuzzy at best seeming relationship between the parents of a 3-star mid-range prospect, a private trainer, and an NCAA institution.

  9. At this point people aren't even insulting the right. We're just pointing out all of the shitty, horrible things Trump says, does, or believes in, and the right just takes it as an insult.

  16. This Karen lady . . . I have to believe there is a far more lenient culture in the southeast when it comes to schools outing each other over recruiting improprieties. Yeah, those schools hate each other too, but I think it's a case of "honor among thieves". Roll into Texas, and guess what? UT and A&M have a strong tendency to try to fuck each other over whenever possible. Fortunately for us, they're far more likely to bend the rules. Throw that in with an insane jealous streak when they can't get ahead even while cheating, and we have the current dynamic between the two schools. Oh, in case anyone needs a cheat sheet: texags: effectively an arm of Texas A&M surlyhorns: UT so wishes we would just go away, preferably in a fire

  19. the main drivers of our long term deficit are the 3 tax cuts we've had since 2000 and a war we got into because we didn't have anything better to do. all 4 of which were brought to you by the republican party. the whole strategy for the last 40 years has been to balloon the debt so that they could force the democrats to reduce social services.

  32. There doesn't have to be a grand conspiracy for there to be shenanigans. We have, it would seem, testimony under oath that multiple colleges reported FWK's shopping Demas around-- shenanigans. We have a transfer "for safety of the kid," leaving the younger siblings behind-- odd. We have incompatible stories about where he actually moved and with whom he lived-- shenanigans. Multiple people are intervening in where this teenager lives, where he goes to HS, and where he will likely go to college for reasons that trace back to his FB talent but which are being represented as anything but. Those people have business relationships among each other and with aTm. A variegated patchwork of aggy boosters and self-interest-seekers that lacks true leadership or a master plan is no more honest or morally acceptable merely because of its disorganization or incompetence.

  33. Trump altered nothing. He did what he’s always done, he let others put their blood and sweat into building something then he came along and slapped his name on it. The fascists didn’t just suddenly infiltrate the GOP in 2015. They’ve been there a long damned time, steadily increasing their influence within the party.
