Why options trading
Leverage. You can control a lot more stock for $.
Flexibility. You can play any sentiment - bullish, bearish, neutral - and you can pick and choose the risk-reward! Instead of just choosing a safe vs risky stock, for any given stock, you can choose how much you want to lever its movement.
Engagement. Options have an element of time expiration in their construction, which obliges you to stay in (somewhat) active and engaged in the market.
What are options
These are contracts that grants the contract holder the right (but not the obligation) to buy or sell 100 units of stock at an agreed price, before a certain date.
It has these elements: Strike price, Expiration date
Call option - contract holder can buy ABC stock from contract seller. option buyer "calls" the shares away from sellers' account
Put option - contract holder can sell ABC stock to contract seller. option buyer "puts" the shares in sellers' account.
Options are tradeable instruments like units of stocks. For our practical purposes, we don't really worry about the above (yet). We buy when cheap and sell when high. Or sell when high and buy when cheap.
How do you price options? (i.e. what is cheap?)
If you're a nerd, you'd invoke the Black-Scholes equation. If, like me, you failed 9th grade trig, you can think of it in more simple abstract terms:
options premium = Intrinsic Value + Extrinsic Value = (Strike$-Stock$)+(Volatility*Time)
Take Apple, which is 135$ right now. How much would you pay to have the right to purchase shares of Apple for $130/share at anytime....
before the end of the week?

They’re going to have to change it to Floppy Top. Or Sloppy Top.
When PJ Fleck went to Minnesota, ESPN did the docu-series “Being PJ Fleck.” They should do one on Heupel called “Becoming Mark Mangino.” He’s well on his way.

Hot off the presses it's our newest season of the podcast. Have a listen as @RGBIII and I discuss the firing of Tom Herman, the Hiring of Steve Sarkisian, the Assistant Coaches we are targeting or have already hired and much more!
This thread will serve as a discussion and as general feedback for the podcast. There will be another thread for a "mailbag" on ideas we can incorporate for future episodes.
Hope you enjoy this as much as we did recording it.

He was a fucking bum at Rutgers. Just complete trash in every way. He showed up here with his own brand of cronyism and mediocrity by imposing inexperienced trash on the program with the Valai hire. Valai immediately sprinted out and took a hogger-sized dump on the 50 yard line of the Texas program by being worthless as a coach and a nonentity in recruiting.
Ash delivered vanilla ice cream competence. Nothing special or unique, just gave the defense a vague hint of average. Outside of some time under Meyer while surrounded by other star coaches, Ash has amounted to sad comedy at worst and meh-relevance at best. Hit the fucking bricks, buddy, we’ll take our chances in the open market.

Also any comic or serious write ups about game predictions or keys to win or what this game means will be mashed up to be the OP of the game thread.
2020 Alamo Bowl: URBAN MEYER TO TEXAS EDITION
Before kickoff tonight the Longhorns come without all year starters at many skill positions. Sam will try his bestest to run away from the buffaloes that will surely be crashing through the decimated offensive line. RoJo will be the key to victory with his trusty sidekick Bijan Robinson who need to rush for a combined 200 yards to win the game. Colorado will come out in a strange cloud of skunky smelling smoke and be lethargic asking for snacks on the sidelines and throughout the game. Tom Herman will do his best turtle impression and fully display his completely limp dick energy in what is certain to be the final game as his coaching career at Texas.
Final prediction. 33-27 Texas.
