1. My wife is constantly on me or the kids about "Why is the light still on for the [porch / kitchen]?" bit my daughter consistently leaves the floor / oscillating fan on in her room & wife doesn't G.a.S. 1. The light bulbs have all been swapped over to LED & prob. cost less than $ 1.50 per year to operate. 2. Wife & daughter are convinced that if you have a fan running (even while you are not there in the house) that it lowers the overall temperature of the building.
2. It's the working / professional version of end of elementary school year superlatives: "& The award for "Did Not Miss Even A Single Day Of School" goes to..."
3. Soggy Oreos are teh craptacular. So, yeah.
4. I sent an email to person A with the company & CCd the customer (a Surler). Person A then responded with me, the customer & Person B in a CC. Prior to this email exchange, I had never interacted with Person B & it was Person A who brought them into the conversation.
5. Like I said, I didn't know that.
6. I didn't know he could play piano.

10. That's The Hartford. I like them for most of the claims I have worked; independent field adjusters & the desk adjusters haven't really been much of a hassle to work with.
11. Guess how wrong you are? I 100% paid the vehicle off. Did that prob. 4 years ago. I am still owed the title.
12. Nor am I finding the "LoL", unless we're laughing ABOUT her, not AT her
13. Video possible later if he sends it to me. - Wood 2× tips ball. - Ball rolls down wooden valley, hits bucket (weighted w/ Milwaukee M18 batteries, bucket barely balanced on edge of plywood) - Bucket tips off, is connected to twine. - Twine is cut by knife & releases through (1) pulley & ( 1) EMT clamp. - Final end of string is weighted by (2) smaller blocks of 2×. - Weighted 2× taps computer keyboard & video that is set to pause then activates & plays.
14. My 1st wife's Dad grew up around 45 min. NW of OKC. Jim said "My dad would give me his trusty ol' rifle & a pair of .22 bullets to bring back rabbit for dinner. If I missed on the 1st rabbit, I sure as hell better line up two of 'em 'side by side' for that next shot."
15. Ron White joke: "We lived in a town so small, you actually DID know everyone else's family & everyone else DID know yours. One Friday, momma came home from the church yard sale with 'new' clothes. I wore 'em to school on Monday after she washed 'em. At recess, this kid comes up to me on the playground & says "Hey... that's my shirt you're wearin'!! Gimme that back!"

20. It is my opinion that around 25 years ago, some roofing companies sorta developed a "system" to get more insurance business & that was canvassing neighborhoods with the promise of a "free roof" (back when most people had a flat $ 500 ~ # 1,000 deductible. The days of the craftsman roofer dwindled & volume increased. I will say that I do enjoy an insurance paid roof as there really isn't any negotiation with the customer required because insurance essentially "sets" the price. I don't have to worry that someone is going to undercut my price... the hassle now becomes what did the adjuster possibly mis-price or mis-calculate? (Got one Shagger² roof where the adj. used "roll roofing" for a flat roof section & it actually has a Mod Bit S/A product that we installed last year... I still have the receipts. The Roll Roofing price point is ½ of the correct Modified Bitumen system).
21. Better to discuss this now vs. later when memories get a bit fuzzier. You would be doing the right thing.
22. Catpfish , Don't miss out on the new "feature" where roofs that are aged 50% or more of the expected life span will NOT get a recoverable depreciation. Example: Roof replacement value (total cost) @ $ 20,000.⁰⁰ Insurer says "aged 16 years on a 30 year life span = Ø recoverable depreciation." 2% Deductible on a home valued @ $ 350,000.⁰⁰ = $ 7,000 policy holder responsibility. ACV (Actual Cash Value) = $ 10,000.⁰⁰ (i.e. the "up front $ for the life left in the shingles prior to the covered peril / loss"). $ 10k - $ 7k = $ 3,000.⁰⁰ to policy holder & Ø else. Total expense to property owner for total roof replacement: $ 17,000.⁰⁰ Pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION to your H.O. policy language & what you're paying for v. what you are receiving. I have met MANY field adjusters who say they have to explain to customers about this "N.R.D." (Non Recoverable Depreciation) thing.
