  1. South Texas Rice 1/4 cup veg oil 1/2 cup diced onions 2 cloves diced garlic 1 can tomatoes chopped 2 cups liquid. Use the juice from the can of tomatoes and chicken broth to equal 2 cups. 1 cup long grain white rice chili powder, salt, black pepper, cumin all to taste 1. Brown rice in oil 5-6 minutes over low heat 2. Add onion and garlic and saute for 5 minutes 3. Add tomatoes, spices and chicken stock 4. Simmer until rice is done and liquid absorbed. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork If you want to put carrots, peas and bell pepper in, as Emeril would say, you are not going to hurt my feelings. But that is not TexMex rice.

  3. You are probably right. Some of both.
  4. Did it prosper because it is a really good offense or because defenses weren't used to seeing it?

  15. The no visit part is what bothers me about this. Up above, I said that it would not make sense for him to commit without visits. I apologize to the Board. I forgot that we are dealing with 17 year old kids. But would the Texas staff even take a no visit commitment? Does he even have an offer?
  16. I think that I read that he has not visited either officially or unofficially. It doesn't make sense that he would choose a school that he hasn't even visited. It would seem that all sorts of red flags would be sent up.
