  1. Kirby? Still nailing down that 20 year agreement.
  2. Or because his kid has been a major star for over four decades and the story was well known the entire time.
  3. I was grown up before both eras and have enjoyed watching the differing styles of each. Arguments can be made either way, particularly if we're talking one era's rules vs. another. But the highly driven top athlete of a bygone era would likely still be the same highly driven top athlete in the current era. The science has improved, but the rats are still the same. But even with all of that, put the two teams on the court at Rucker and I'll take the Bulls 95/100 times.
  4. Occam's razor says he had his sights on moving up to the Association coaching ranks and felt he had to show he could run that type of system. Narrator: He couldn't.
  5. Why if it's not a good old fashioned talking out their ass Sunday afternoon poster on the Surl. Tis a regular occurrence to be sure, but always a joy to behold.
  6. Eh, only one of them still getting paid to do what they love.
  7. They made it a joke, but I would much rather watch that version than the upcoming Chris Pratt bullshit.
  8. Fun look at game easter eggs in the show. https://ew.com/tv/the-last-of-us-easter-eggs/
  9. This is where I'm at these days. Been a Netflix subscriber since I could only get one DVD in the mail at a time. It was an amazing service in the early-mid days. Then they shifted all attention to original programming, the old guard took back their IP and started competing, and now it's just a deluge of shit I don't want. The Hulu/Disney+/ESPN bundle is my core and Netflix is way down on the supplemental provider list. Making it a hassle to watch on the phone/tablet/laptop/TV and make me sign into all 4 every month so they're not blocked is not gonna keep me around. First time it happens will be the end. At least I'll always have the copy of the '99 Cotton Bowl that was "lost" to my collection.
  10. Always enjoyed the one-off Notting Hillbillies. Knopfler and Fletcher from DS, their manager on drums, and some top notch Paul Franklin pedal steel.
  11. Jay Wright decided to take some time off before taking over here.
  12. These things happen when the fans of your own team like the guy you're gonna pass better.
  13. You're both wrong. Ain't no way Terry was a TA. More akin to a college department where he was a well-liked professor who is now the interim department head after the last one did something real stupid at the holiday party. He's run a department before, but with lowered expectations at smaller schools with limited academic prowess. Whether he can keep things at a level that brings in top scholars and heavily published lecturers at this place is another question. One that hasn't fully been answered yet. Resources and front of jersey can be a significant difference for an otherwise MOR coach. In the end, this is an "along for the ride" season for everyone. Players, coaches, admin, fans; nobody knows what May will bring for the program. Yes, what happens in March/April(please dear baby jeebus) might be a determinative factor. But for fucks sake, put down the half empty glass, put on your burnt orange, and come along for the ride. Ingredients are solid. Cake is in the oven. We're just waiting for the bake to judge the party. So far, Coach Terry has kept the music going and booze flowing. Enjoy the ride and minimize the Debbie Downer approach until an appropriate time. And thank you Coach Terry for keeping me in this season. My worry that everything everywhere would fall apart did not come to fruition. March still matters.
  14. 4-1 Home, 1-4 road. Give me a B12 tournament win and a #3 seed.
