2021 - Is inflation finally back in the conversation?
growth with inflation feels fucked to a lot of people. Confusing times to say the least. Disinflation (the good kind) bringing rates down

I think the only possibility of Texas jumping Oregon revolves around alabama winning this weekend (and assuming Oregon and Texas win). This also assumes Michigan and FSU win. 2 spots for 3 teams. You have to make guesses on bias of committee. I think #1 bias that has been there for last 20 years is SEC is the best conference. Therefor Alabama gets the nod. Then you have to hope and pray the drums are so loud that you can’t leave out a team that beat Bama. If you discount that SEC bias, and Oregon is a lock because they beat Washington, then you have to hope that the head to head matters and can’t be discounted by “but that was week 2”. In either scenario there is more than enough wiggle room to leave Horns out and emotionally we should prepare for that outcome. As multiple people have pointed out, safest way in for us is either a Michigan loss or FSU loss. Otherwise get ready to get fucked.

Maybe we need an Argentina thread too
You'd think they'd just get lucky one time but no, they miss the beat every single time. Amazing really. Will this guy make it cheaper or more expensive to go dove hunting in Argentina?

2021 - Is inflation finally back in the conversation?
Traveling but that’s not what I claimed but appreciate you putting words in my mouth. Captain claimed it was tax cuts as the reason for deficit spending (as if no tax cuts = no deficits). That ain’t true. I’m sure you know that. You used to bitch and moan about “seed crop”spending but now not a peep. Weird.

2021 - Is inflation finally back in the conversation?
Pal, this just isn't remotely true and I think I provided you data from the St. Louis federal reserve that you either missed or actively ignored that would prove this talking point is not correct. But at least you're consistent.

one and the same. And I don't remember that convo on hornfans but that's probably because I was drunk or didn't give af or didn't know shit, and most likely a combo of all 3 (plus 20 years ago.....that's a little depressing).

2021 - Is inflation finally back in the conversation?
yes. I almost didn't include that given it would take away from the bolded part and someone would come along and only focus on that portion of the note. Filtering out obvious political bias and lack of understanding on how our government is funded is necessary when reading anything these days, imo. And, clearly the US government has lost the plot on deficit spending. Just gorging now and have been for multiple years across multiple administrations and different party control of congress. Arguing about when that started is not relevant.

Texas Rangers 2023 - They're Still Shitty?
This was my first game to attend. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Witt's_perfect_game. Got the Dallas Times Herald article of it framed in my attic 5 years old and that's how I got welcomed to the Texas Rangers. At that old stadium we might as well have been a AAA team accidentally playing in the Majors. I made up for it by attending the game in which Nolan beat tf out of Ventura. But all of these stories are of 1 off games or nostalgia with a dash of heartbreak. No more. No more shoe shines Billy. We're all growns up

John Fetterman - saving America with sweatshirts and Umbros
Mea culpa. He's turning into one of my favorite Senators. His recovery has been much better than I ever expected based on personal experience with someone that went through aphasia.

Paid research from a group out of London that is about 10 pages in pdf form so can't give you a link. that is the teaser note. I'll provide anything worthwhile out of the full document when I have time later today- 2021 - Is inflation finally back in the conversation?
Research note I received this morning. “Two factors have so far held the US economy back from the brink of recession: the excess savings overhang and a truly rampant budget deficit The former is a form of lagged fiscal stimulus, due to run out around year-end. The latter is coincident fiscal stimulus. Both are responsible for driving Q3 nominal GDP +8.5%, or +$560bn. Government deficit spending (i.e. net increase in debt $852bn less $263bn increase in the TGA) accounted for +$588bn (105%) of nominal growth, with 93% of the funding coming via MMFs from the RRP, where only $1.1trn of MMF deposits remain. The larger the deficit, the higher bond yields. However, the faster NGDP rises on the back of the deficit, the sooner excess savings realign with the economy’s natural demand for money balances and become exhausted. By pursuing aggressive, peacetime deficits during the latter stages of a particularly mature business cycle (14 years, if you ignore the brief and rather artificial Covid lapse), the US government is crowding out the private sector and driving interest rates all along the curve to heights that render huge swathes of the economy unproductive. Thus, deficits now generate blowout GDP today, but recession later. Strip out the deficit and the US private sector is revealed to have been in recession since Q3 2022. Either Biden keeps running a very high deficit ahead of the election, driving rates even higher, or the bond market vigilantes manage to restrain the Democrats, but then the pent-up recession will be revealed."- the 2023 speaker of the house voting thread of implosion
is this like he sends a dollar a month to Africa or something? Bible on the podium huge red flag. Get the appropriation bills through and fund the government. And keep your fucking crazy ass social conservative views to yourself.- Fuck Big 12 refs
