  1. I’ve got an open bottle if you want to trade for it. That or trade some samples.
  2. Almost 7 and almost 9. They both played 8U coach pitch.
  3. I’m in the Memorial area. Kids played SBMSA and were pretty good. We may play Post Oak next year. My kids have taken some lessons at Warriors and one was asked to tryout for a team, but we declined because we were already going to play SBMSA and their location was pretty inconvenient for us. My kids love playing baseball and practice at home with each other all the time. It’s easily their favorite sport, but they do still play other sports and will continue that. I’d like to just find out more and see what options there are for the Fall.
  4. This may not be the right thread, but any advice on getting involved in select ball? I'm in the Houston area and just starting to look into it for my kids.
  5. They've gone up the past couple of months. You can get $200 - $225 for any random SFTB. For the right barrels like 880 - 885, you get a premium over that. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't have a secondary market value of the GTS, which the 2018 is going for around $400. I just like it better.
  6. I don't think it's unsubstantiated. I believe the Japanese releases are at least 8 years old. That makes them roughly 2 years older. Not much different and not worth paying a big premium or anything, but I believe that is confirmed. I picked up a black for ~$40, but I haven't gotten the Red yet. I do have the Silver also though. Obviously since they are single barrel bottlings the taste will vary from one to the next. From what I have had so far the SFTB is significantly better than Gold which is significantly better than regular which is significantly better than green. A good SFTB is better than 2018 GTS.
  7. That LLOG purchase seems a little cheap on the surface. Does LLOG retain any assets?
  8. Is this a picture of every release from Buffalo Trace for the past several years? Also, I can't tell what those two bottles are in between the Blanton's and the ORVW on the top left. One is in a box and the other is the size size and shape as the Van Winkles.
  9. Not a big fan of 80 proof bottles.
  10. Not a bourbon, but this guy is pretty good.
  11. I'm not sure it was favoritism; I think just run of the mill incompetence.
  12. The Bunker Hill one was a joke, horribly run. Waited until the room was a crowded mess and then passed around notepads asking people to sign up. One Costco employee told people to write down name and email address. Another told people to write down name and phone number. After collecting all of them (and who knows how many duplicates) they announced they would not put your entry in the box if you didn't include your email address. After outcry from half of the crowd they called out names of everyone that didn't have email address to get those written in. Who knows if they actually got put in the box. For the drawing, I saw a husband and wife pulled a Stagg and a Handy. There was also a mom and son who each pulled a bottle. Then there was a group of 7 people where 6 of them got a bottle. I'm guessing they didn't shuffle the entries at all.
  13. No, the newer BMHs from Oregon are shit. The earlier ones were Stitzel-Weller distilled and bottled by Van Winkle. The red label was Heaven Hill distilled. From 2014 on though it has been a small Oregon distillery. Those are the smaller squat bottles.
  14. I got a couple of the Liquor Hut NCF picks earlier this year and finally opened one. It is incredible, like a better version of ORVW.
  15. I think it is excellent. It's almost like a dessert drink though. It's got the spiciness of a rye with a lot of fruit undertones. If you can get it for $90 to $110 then it's a good buy.
  16. $91 including tax. They asked if I was sure I wanted it considering how expensive it was.
  17. Stumbled into this guy in random liquor store on way to the deer lease. He was good and will be missed.
  18. The Special Counsel investigation began on May 17, 2017. How do you come up with almost three years?
  19. I’m a fan of the Northern Harvest Rye. It’s an excellent cheap rye.
  20. Just had this guy. Disappointed. No better than W12 or W107.
  21. Of course, oil wasn't $82. It had a recent peak of $76.41 on October 3rd. It hasn't been $82 since October 29, 2014. He lies for absolutely no reason at all.
  22. Just sign up with your real name. A major positive of the BSM is transparency in transactions and knowing who you are dealing with.
  23. Yes. I can mule you some if you want. I can buy and have shipped to your address.
