  1. Wow! He’s a UL grad. Tough job but I like the move.
  2. Pretty simple for the committee to rank Bama 10, BYU 11 and then say Saturday is being treated like play in for that 10th spot, with Bama having preference. If they both lose, then everything will be looked at with clean slate. (Edit: They won’t do that) (Edit 2: F. Forgot BYU can still get auto bid so probably disregard)
  3. BYU couldn’t block Tech the first time, not sure why they’ll be able to do it now.
  4. BYU fell down 14-0 to 3-9 clown car Colorado in Boulder and ended up winning that game by a FG with the game in total doubt until the very end. BYU needed 10 points in the last four minutes to force overtime against Arizona and then needed double OT to win. BYU was down 24-10 late in the first half against also ran Iowa State. BYU was down 14-0 to 5-7 UCF at home two days ago. We can play the lol close call/we looked shitty conference game all day long. I think the Big 12 is a pretty good league this year. I don’t really think BYU should be “punished” for losing to Tech this week while 95 percent of the rest of the teams sit home, but BYU’s current resume doesn’t scream no doubt Top 10 team to me with its best win being a top 15ish Utah in Provo.
  5. I’m shocked Joker has nine dunks already.
  6. They’ll rank Duke over James Madison if Duke wins. The G5 isn’t getting two teams in. At this point they’d have to knock out ND for Texas to get in (that lets them avoid the Miami/ND controversy). Or they have to knock out Bama or OU but also keep Miami out. Neither scenario looks possible.
  7. You fucking suck.
  8. The committee will work real hard to avoid first round rematches.
  9. Then you shouldn’t want us to schedule any meaningful OOC game ever again.
  10. Bama losing last year to OU in November is not the same as Texas losing this year to Georgia in November. To be clear in my position: I think Texas is left out at 9-3 unless there is significant chaos above us. I don’t necessarily think Texas “deserves” a playoff spot but I do think we “deserve” one over OU and Vandy teams that we beat and were clearly better than. A 9-3 Texas has a better argument to be in than last year’s 9-3 Bama team. A 10-2 Texas team with some midrange OOC W instead of L at tOSU would 100 percent get into this year’s field. I don’t think they’d “deserve” to be in but they’d be in, if only because they’d go in over both OU and Vandy.
  11. OU’s looked like an absolute shit in multiple wins too…
  12. So a currently 9-2 Texas would be ranked behind OU and Vandy teams that Texas beat? Really?
  13. Terrible loss no doubt, but today’s Florida isn’t the same Florida from early October - or hell, even the one that pushed Georgia earlier this month. They quit after that game so these last handful of games shouldn’t matter when looking at Florida objectively.
  14. The only path opens up if the Big 10 is a three team league, the ACC is one, and the Big 12 is one. If that doesn’t happen, Friday’s result won’t matter. And then you probably need some chaos above us anyway.
  15. Complaining about taking the points after everyone here screamed at Sark for four seasons for not taking the points sure is a take. We won the middle eight minutes 10-0 so I’m not sure why that decision was the final straw for you.
