  1. I had first class booked from Paris to basil and I sat in the first car (one of those split class cars with a large vestibule) from the beginning of the journey. I think it was tgv and no assigned seating so they don't limit tickets. I had my headphones in the whole time and wasn't really paying attention behind me but as we are nearing basil I get up to throw away some trash and the vestibule was completely packed with commoners like you'd expect to see in India. Haven't seen this on any other high speed service anywhere in the world.
  2. Many of the large maga Twitter accounts are very obviously not ran by Americans, or at least people who use English as a first language. This kind of goes along with how shockingly little money those accounts make despite posting clickbait 18 hours a day. I remember reading that even the successful accounts only make 30k-60k US a year, but that's a great salary in eastern Europe or Russia.
  3. I'm not sure murdering someone to impress your girlfriend is a rational motive.
  4. Kinda random but if you're in to weird architecture Place Georges Pompidou is like 5 minutes away from the Notre dame and very unique. It's designed "inside out" so all the stairs and mechanical piping and whatnot are on the outside.
  5. It was completely appropriate. Unfortunately the main character was offended so now we need to call the speech police.
  6. I'm the main character, acknowledge me! Tip toe around my feelings!
  7. Stop using descriptive terms, the main character doesn't like it
  8. Yeah it doesn't matter, and I didn't intend to "well ackshuly". I really enjoyed Istanbul, and part of that was the mosques. I had been considering morroco for a while and appreciate the thread.
  9. What exactly is the "too much work" to chow down on chicken tendies and biscuits?
  10. Do you consider Istanbul to be the Muslim world? Because I visited several mosques there. Beautiful as well.
  11. To be fair he did call incredulity "human refuse"
  12. People who I don't like need to not exist in society - guy who is definitely not the main character
  13. You know, Jose Feliciano you got no complaints.
  14. It was one of the shorter civil wars but it does appear the country has moved on.
  15. And racist
  16. Wildest maga hat I've seen in the wild was a younger Arab man on a domestic flight in Thailand.
  17. This thread could be made about nearly any topic, he's infected everything and it definitely sucks.
  18. I can't wait to catch an a's game on $30 beer night

    London

This is my second time in London, I was here in April last year. Last time I had some physical challenges and decided to stay near Trafalgar Square to be close to all the museums and came away thinking London is pretty meh. This time I'm staying near marble arch and it's wonderful. Amazing food options in all directions.

I know a lot of people will bemoan eating at a chain fast food place overseas but I'm not a fancy lad and I enjoy sampling that part of the culture. yesterday I went to a place called pepe's piri piri and I was pretty surprised how good it was, got some chicken and rice thing and the chips were on point. I don't know how all these subway/Chipotle style wok chains haven't set up shop in the US, I think they would absolutely dominate. Maybe they are around in larger cities but I have never seen one.
  21. Ah, well, maybe not as smart as I assumed
  22. You seem to have someone in mind, would you like to share with the class? Show us how smart you are!
  23. "it might be scripted"? Ana, don't tell me you're participating in LUNACY?!?!
  24. Like I said, I doubt these are fabricated, the number one reason being it directly refutes the line the fbi, ag, and president have been hammering. But are you unable to admit it's a strange and incredibly convenient record for law enforcement?
