Switched over to the Pinstripe Bowl. I don't know why. Cold weather venues suck. It's wrong. Back in the old days errbody went to Miami and New Orleans and Houston and Pasadena and El Paso for their bowl games (and Dallas, forgot about them). I understand how weather works and some of those places were cold from time to time, but who wants to freeze their ass off watching a loss? Is it just me or is it more difficult to find a list of bowl games online that simply tell you what's happening and when? Without wading through the entire Playoff schedule?
I'm watching the Pitt/ECU game. Quick whistle negates a ECU TD that would have made it 17-7. Two plays later Pitt gets a scoop and score and is ahead 14-10. As I type this ECU scores on a long pass and now it's 17-14 ECU.
Not really a partisan thing, but all over the world people are building incredible things. Not here, though. Hell, when NY replaced the Tappan Zee and Goethals bridges I was surprised.
CSB alert: 30 years ago I visited a seating company in Grand Rapids as part of a cruise ship project I was working on. Among other things, we wanted an integral cup holder. Here they are, today:
I would imagine something like marble would be brittle and cold-to-the-touch material for this use. Maybe wood dipped in gold leaf would work better.
