  1. She could have left three summers in a row- any of the times when Molly decided to stay, when we went after Whitney lauenstein, Jenna, or maddie, when we signed cari or Torrey transferred here. But she chose us and she chose to work hard. She took the Ella Swindle road and she did it while being supportive of her teammates. She bet on herself and she chose Texas.
  2. You know what I really liked? Devin hitting middle. AA's footwork just isn't there and frankly I don't know if you can learn quickness. When we stagnate on offense and let teams go on 7, 8, 9 point runs it really helps to have a middle who's a threat. I love AA's presence on the block but I wouldn't be mad if we saw a wrinkle from time to time of Harvey in the front or Devin hitting more out of the middle and not just on that one rotation.
  3. Louisville had 3 chances at 11-8 in the fifth to take momentum back but couldn't pass on serve receive and ended up setting the outside pin where our two best blocks knew the attack was gonna go. If their receive could have generated better passes on any of those three serves I don't think we win.
  4. Second and third sets I noticed they were serving her body shots - high, hard, and flat- and she had trouble passing in system when she didn't go to an overhand pass. I watched the Stanford game also yesterday and it made for a stark contrast with how she handled serve receive when the ball wasn't at her and above her waist. Something to keep an eye on. Did anyone else notice in the fifth set that serve receive rotation where we hid everyone but Emma and Torrey? It was before the switchover. She had hinted on socials she was having anxiety about post college life. I'm sure that figured into it.

  10. The active nose cancellation also reduces the speaker's voice level so you hear the translation better. I found that detail pretty cool. And when you speak you show the other person your phone screen and it translates what you're saying I to their language.
  11. Does it matter that you didn't get your carrier involved? Because when you go to renew they ask if you've been involved in any accidents in the previous x years regardless of fault. So wouldn't they find out then anyway?
  12. CD got hit early in the third quarter on that play the Eagles safety got injured. He wasn't the same after that. I think he still heard footsteps.
  13. I don't mind the hurry up, it prevents them from subbing. Four straight passes in a row when we've been running it well bothers me. But they didn't do it because they were preserving clock otherwise they would have snapped it before the 2 min warning. Schottenheimer mishandled that.
  14. What's Eberflus thinking on third down there? Only way we've had success on defense tonight was when we sent extra men and forced Hurts's hand.
  15. you snap it before the 2 minute warning in case you don't convert. that was a mistake.
  16. I like that coach isn't afraid to bench non performers. Mazi. Turpin.

  19. Jordan Lawler started laughing when Joc squared around.
  20. I don't know that this impacts play but it looks like Devin and Emma have dropped weight from last season.
  21. 1.) We're passing well. 2.) Our defense, especially our blocking, is much improved. Our backrow defense is also better.
  22. the lower humidity goes the higher our high temps go.
  23. water damage - master shower pipe burst and then we discovered hot water heater in attic was leaking.
  24. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/oysters-flesh-eating-bacteria-deadly-louisiana-b2816786.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=picturepost&fbclid=IwdGRjcAMjNYJjbGNrAyM1PGV4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEeXamh43Rovex_n-1dJ1D6RTAvFRHbWQfdiLfoahYjRB3o2dG6cRlVqdn4_KY_aem_LyHV7eknwpYKa1M0rOkjfg This is why I don't eat gulf oysters in the summer. 6 deaths from Louisiana oysters this summer, a total of 34 vibrio cases from Louisiana. Texas had 5 cases earlier this summer but I haven't heard updates numbers.
