  1. Just looking for a better way to setup mixer/drum machine/vocal processor, etc.
  2. @tbone_ Can you snap of pick of the setup on those stands on the right?
  3. Im going to add another one to spread these out and to have some hooks for cables and headphones.
  4. I finally decided on this and love it. (stock photo...not mine) https://diamondlifegear.com/guitar_hanger_mx.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwv7L6BRDxARIsAGj-34qR_L8DEZaJqcfhSb2_PxjMbomdrYdQ0ZCtbwhdhsvWSpnX9Idxv5gaAjvBEALw_wcB
  5. Life it too short. Buy new/better cables. I've had good luck with these GLS cables. Not too much money but seemingly good quality. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XQF90PC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  6. I've only walked out of one concert in my life. It was Justin's tour in 2014 or 2015. (Single Mothers tour, I think) He was in a shit mood, insulting the audience, acting like he was doing the crowd a favor for being there. He just seemed generally bored and irritated. Probably 800 people in a 1,000 seat venue so it wasn't about the lack of a crowd.
  7. Where did you see this? Is this the Pushkin podcast? Found it:
  8. And this one just kills me. "It's a setback at best, a shame fo sho"; "I'm losing patience with my only friend";
  9. When they toured together, they did a version of Mr. Mudd and Mr. Gold. I always felt it was really uncomfortable. None of the videos on youtube are very good either. But this version on just him....with it sped up a LOT...I really dig it.
  10. Tommy Womack posted this. Tommy is super sweet guy with as many or more demons that Justin. He used to play with Todd Snider and Todd describes him "as the craziest dude I know." Tommy also plays a lot in a band with Will Kimbrough. I really like Tommy and he has helped me immensely with some of my problems. Tommy's going some shit right now as his cancer has come back.
  11. Check out the guitarist on JTE's Letterman appearance.
  12. Am I the only one on here who actually saw Ram Jam in concert? I was a sophomore in high school when that debut album came out in 77. They had just moved out of clubs into auditorium shows in smaller towns when that single broke. Saw them in Wichita Falls. A buddy and I took my little brother along for his first rock-n-roll show. I remember liking this song that was also on that album. Again, the ONLY thing on the radio was disco and really shitty soft rock shit. I had my Electra Les Paul copy, Fender Super Reverb and I wanted to ROCK!
  13. This is easily my favorite album of his. Really horrible news. My money would be strongly on relapse and OD. Some people, even when sober, seem to be constantly on the edge of a relapse. And as mentioned above, relapsing in this drug environment is playing Russian roulette but 5 bullets and one empty chamber.
  14. Her story: She got hit the head by an oxygen tank when she was supposedly a volunteer fire fighter in Jolly. Created a calcium build up. She supposed had an operation a few years ago, but it is obviously coming back.
  15. My grand daughter LOVES doing that.
  16. Oh...and before I erase this bit of fun from this morning while walking the dog. Me: (Wave at a pickup) Her: Who was that? Me: The girl who works for Frank and Maureen. She was driving his old pickup Her: I thought he got a new one. Me: He did. She was driving the old one Her: Do you know her? Me: Yes. Her: How? Me: She works for Frank and Maureen. 15 minutes later, girl drives back by, in same fucking pickup. Her: Look. There goes Frank Me: (WHY didn't I just say YEP) That is the girl who works for him. Driving his old pickup. I waved at her earlier Her: But that pickup had an Army Vet tag. That was Frank. Me: That is Frank’s old pickup. The girl who works for him, who drove by earlier, that I waved at….she was driving Frank’s old truck. Her: I thought he got a new one. Me: He did. Her: OK.
  17. Daughter and friends take kayaks out. I tell her to just leave them on the back on the pickup because I needed to reseal them. Wife comes in yelling. Her: IT'S RAINING OUTSIDE! Me: Great..we need it. Her: YOU LEFT THE KAYAKS ON YOUR PICKUP! Me: Yep. Her: They are going to get wet. Me: Kind of like when we go kayaking? Yep. They will get wet. Her: But they are face up...not upside down. They are going to get the seats wet. Me: Yep. Trust me. They will be fine. Baboso brought up the point that when she fucked around and got sucked under a log and the kayak got swamped the seat might have gotten a little damp. My mind was just too bottled to think that fast during this interaction. I was going to put them back that day, but as a bit of defiance, they are still loaded on the pickup. It is driving her nuts but she has yet to say anything about it.
  18. I'm in the same boat on 1) needing some new headphones and 2) dropping a fuck-ton of money on updating the house.
  19. Great stuff @Goredho. These were our PA speakers. I miss that padded look but don't miss lugging those things around.
  20. When I was in 9th grade..., I get asked to join a band to play in a high school assembly with a soph, jr and sr. Kickass band, all original songs. 4 of them. Highway Loner, Band Among Bands, I Need Your Love, were 3 of the titles. Armageddon was our name. I got the gig because I had a guitar. "You gotta a guitar?" Yep... "You're in the band". Anyway, my dad made his own saddle cinches so I had the great idea to turn one in to a guitar strap. Now, imagine one of these, draped over my shoulder...... It was a good idea in theory....and I've seen it done since.....but not when said player is 5'3", 105 lbs. Just a TAD wide...and the buckles were heavy AF. Found this dude who actually makes them in guitar strap width. Where-the-fuck was he in 1977.
  21. OK boys and girls.....
