Even Joel Klatt is saying 9-3 Texas is likely in. That's not a pro-SEC voice like the other ones I mentioned.

For the first time in weeks, FOX won a head to head battle in one of the time slots. Ohio State had almost twice as many viewers as Texas-Vandy. Hopefully another week like that will cause ESPN to get pressure from ad execs.

The interesting thing to me is I've already heard talk about a 9-3 Texas team being in from Herbstreit, Ryen Russillo, and Todd Mcshay. Last year people hyped up South Carolina a little too late, and people had dumped on Alabama before the hype train could commence. This time it seems like pro-SEC types are anticipating the 9-3 team ahead of time. They don't want a repeat of last year. That goes for OU as well. Scenario 1: beat Georgia, I think we move up to #6 or so. Stomp Arkansas. Lose to A&M, probably drop to #10. Scenario 2: lose close to Georgia, probably drop to #17 or so. Stomp Arkansas. Beat A&M, move up to #10. Personally I'd rather just imagine a world where we go 10-2 because why suffer twice by worrying?

Ohio State last year?

The 2025 CFP Regular Season Is 3/4s Finished - What Do You Think?
fellside replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
I'm curious who Big Ten fans would even offer as a fourth team. The only scenarios I can think of where the B1G gets 4 would be if Michigan wins out (plays OSU) or Washington wins out (plays Oregon). Both unlikely. Iowa/USC/Oregon all play each other so 2 of those are pretty much guaranteed to be knocked out. -
Yeah. YTTV has the advantage of having 2 million people locked in, and I'm guessing the vast majority of those 2 million people also like watching college football. This negotiation might take a while.

I like YouTube TV. I like multi view, the unlimited library, the easy use, etc. I have Sunday Ticket. People can complain about the price increases but I paid $220 for AT&T U-verse the year before I canceled and got YTTV. Even at $90 a month, they've been saving me money while giving me the same content. I'll wait this one out until the football season ends. Between an HD antenna, online streams, and friends' logins, I can manage. But I really hope YTTV breaks ESPN. ESPN/ABC have had the highest rated games every single weekend lately. No matter how much they want to drive the app, lower ratings aren't gonna look good. Curious to see where the three big ABC games today end up in the ratings.

Lanoris Sellers played one week after a concussion against Vanderbilt. He threw for 300+ yards and 2 TDs. Not approving or disapproving, just adding for context.

This was the first season where a character dies in the book but they didn't follow it in the show. Herron has mentioned regretting killing off so many Slow Horses. Maybe he asked them to keep him/her.

When I first saw this thread title, I thought it was a set up to a punch line. Turns out I was right.

I think some of the 9.95 and fan talk about Sark calling the wrong gameplan or calling for the team he wants rather than the team he has missed the possibility that maybe the offense is actually just this bad. Against power 4 opponents, our offense ranks 63 out of 68 teams. We are objectively terrible at Left Guard and Center. We are getting below average play at Right Tackle. There's no need to comment on QB play. Maybe there isn't a magic button to run the ball as well as we did against Oklahoma every week because our line is horrible. Maybe it's even worse with Robertson in. Maybe our QB is going to miss wide open guys if he's blitzed or comfortable in the pocket. It's still Sark's fault. But I don't think he can simply call run plays and quick passes and make this offense good. The sample size is no longer small. It's a terrible offense. The changes needed wont come from week to week adjustments. They will come with a total overhaul in the off-season.

Brent Venables is 1-3 against Texas. Pretty sure he's the first Oklahoma coach to be 2 games below .500 against Texas since John Blake in 1998.
