  1. I know the consensus around here is that these are perfect, but there's something about the dark outline around the numbers that doesn't go well with the rest of the uniform. It's like the Cowboys problem of too many shades of blue. Then when they were away, they wore the darker shade of blue. The lighter blue is great, but I don't like the full execution of them from this era.
  2. The only real worry I have for this season is the offensive line. Last year was a more talented and experienced group. They had 121 combined starts going into the year. Yet with all that, they rushed for 58, 31, and 29 yards against Ohio State and Georgia. Now we go into a season with 45 combined starts and several guys who failed to push for playing time previously. It's the only thing that gives me pause about all the hype.
  3. For downtown: 61 Osteria (fancy Italian), Grace (fine dining), Waters (seafood). For bbq: Panther City BBQ as Goldees is closed on Wednesday. Maybe Hurtado or Brix if the line is too long at Panther City.
  4. Trying to figure out how a team makes up a 10 point deficit in one play.
  5. If you're posting those to show he's not a 5 star, Rivals just released their newest 5 stars and Johnson was ranked at #10.
  6. Landing Cooper and Benjamin would move Texas to #3 ahead of A&M. Kreul would move Texas to #1...
  7. Pat McAfee gives me the vibe that he exists for white trash middle aged men who wear Monster Energy t-shirts and say things like, "they made comedy illegal now." I've never heard him say anything humorous or compelling about football. He just talks loud and wears bro tanks.
  8. This would put Texas at #4... 1 point behind A&M's super amazing hype class.
  9. Landing Atkinson and Cooper would move Texas up to 6th in the national rankings. It would also tie Bama for the most 5 stars nationally. Which would be funny for a year we're "showing restraint".
  10. That's nice to see, because his drops were really rough in the 4th quarter of that game. He turned it around the next two games though.
  11. Whatever the opposite of errbody is.
  12. Apparently this played a role in Turntine not going to Michigan. Didn't like the way the players he met treated him as lesser than because he was from Texas. Which is interesting because they have several Texas commits already.
  13. How many of the guys who chose Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, A&M, or Texas Tech over us actually care about wins on the field as their top priority? That sounds like a very outdated sentiment. Why would 10 wins this year matter when back to back playoffs didn't?
