  1. I'm at the point where I almost want to treat any third and long with Murphy as though we're about to punt. He's horrible on obvious passing downs. Limit him to deep shots, comeback throws, hitches, etc. Our running game, receivers, defense, special teams should be good enough to win our last three games as long as Murphy doesn't turn the ball over. But he will turn it over if we give him free reign to sit back and make reads. Savior Red should probably get more snaps but where he actually reads the end and hands it off sometimes. If our passing game is going to be limited, might as well make the running game more intricate.
  2. When the rest of the Big 12 was beating us in fluky games where we handed them the win with stupid mistakes, I'm pretty sure they didn't feel bad about it.
  3. There was zero chance we were getting the ball in the end zone in any OT or 2 points conversion period. Thank you K State. 8-1 feels good. Getting any win while Ewers is out feels good. Overcoming coaching feels good. Keep going.
  4. This explains why Fox starts their second game at 3:00 rather than 2:30 like the other channels.
  5. What on earth are you talking about? Every single thing you said was wrong.
  6. Billions is like a half step above Suits in quality. It's cheesy storylines with cheesy dialogue and cheesy acting. Succession is the best show of the past 10 years.
  7. Poooooooooor Aggies
  8. Didn't FCB say Majors would be out until the last week of the season? He practiced today?
  9. Auburn looked so awful against A&M. How are they doing this?
  10. Iowa has 29 active players in the NFL, good for 13th overall. They're good at developing big guys. I get why a school like Iowa is content. They see what Nebraska is like with their constant upheaval. It's basically like a parallel universe where Nebraska never gets rid of Pelini and is content with the 9 win seasons. So I get Kirk Ferentz. I do not get Brian Ferentz.
  11. Just saw the defense is 2nd in the nation in redzone efficiency. Only allowed one passing TD in the redzone and zero rushing TDs. Also, having the 12th ranked scoring defense is something I feel like I haven't seen since Mischamp, but I could be wrong on that.
  12. On YouTube tv or is it just NFL Plus?
  13. http://www.hudl.com/v/2Lf8vP Antayvious Ellis. Kid got offers from TCU, Tech, and UTSA in middle school, runs a 10.5 100m, and has balled out thus far. Baylor had him in for the game last night.
  14. Random and not pertinent to the thread but I was shocked to see a Wing Stop in London when I went a year ago. Felt like seeing an old high school friend or something.
  15. If you feel even remotely similar to how you felt a year ago when our starting QB was out with an injury, we had two true freshmen on the line, our offense had already shown a difficulty scoring in second halves when defenses adjusted, and our defense had a walk on starting at safety... I don't know what to tell you about your emotional state.
  16. Funniest interaction I saw was some scantly clad drunk sorority girl throwing the horns down and shouting towards an old, 80-something Texas couple followed by her friend saying, "Abby, you HAVE to stop."
  17. They gave her a free ride so she took it. I get it.
  18. The people in Tuscaloosa were pretty nice. Lots of good conversations, mutual A&M bashing, handshakes, fist bumps and whatnot. It's a pretty area and good vibes. You'll get immature assholes everywhere, but overall I enjoyed the visit. Hell, I had to eat lunch in a sorority house (sister-in-law goes there) and people were still pretty gracious hosts. On the other hand, getting out after the game was a nightmare and everything surrounding the area seemed backwoods as hell. And I don't think Alabama believes in street lights.
  19. This is some Texas-Rice type stuff.
  20. When Sark came over for the Eyes and looked up at us, that's the happiest I've seen him since he's been here. His face lit up. Bet he feels vindicated for the work he's out in.
  21. So glad I went to this. Best day in a long time
  22. Mina Kimes is on a short list (Bill Barnwell, Zach Lowe... maybe someone else) of people at ESPN who work hard, have intelligent takes, clearly watch tons of games, and don't just try to be inflammatory. I'm not going out of my way to watch her, but when she hops on a podcast, she's interesting.
  23. Nevermind. Just bought tickets for section NN.
  24. I'm interested. For whoever is selling.
