Jimbo 2019: The Only Tail Getting Busted is Candi's
Which of our early enrollees missed practice? One of the aggies mentioned it but I never heard that.

Players You Thought Were Wasted Talent/Surfire Stars on the 40 Acres
I thought that kid Chris Jones from Daingerfield was going to be really good. High pointed the ball really well in his film and just seemed like a baller.

Texas recruiting notes 2019
Right. What I'm saying is I remember reading a quote from him about the possibility of playing both and him liking the idea.

The only possibility that McCoy redshirts is if he isn't granted a waiver. If he's eligible, he's playing every game.

Texas recruiting notes 2019
Earlier in the recruiting process, I remember reading that Bru said Texas coaches told him they think he could play on both sides. That he would mainly play offense, but they would have a role for him in obvious passing situations on defense to just go after the QB. I hope this happens for two reasons: 1. Bru is an insane pass rusher 2. I am positive having a 5 star perform on both sides of the ball would be a big draw for future recruits.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
Chris Thompson replied to Ehlinger's tweet with "GOAT". Nice to see the swagger influencing recruits.

Texas recruiting notes 2019
So Texas national recruiting has landed recruits ranked 9, 49, 67, 131, 145, 170, 190, 221, 291 and 437. Consider that in 2017 our top ranked recruits from anywhere were 119, 162, 204, 234, 302, and 499... Basically our out of state recruiting alone would be a top 15 recruiting class.

So this causes USC to intervene with him before he enters the portal rather than after. Okay.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
I know there was a "reactions from recruits" thing from EJ but I havent seen it because we're too busy in this thread getting played like a fiddle by Jimbo.

Why are the parents wearing matching shirts? Weird family. Do not want.

Dallas Cowboys 2019 Offseason Thread of Mediocrity
Nussmeir is a terrible offensive coordinator. Here are some of his offenses. 2014 Michigan: 20.9 points per game 2015 Florida: 23.2 points per game (total of 24 points in their last three games) 2016 Florida: 23.9 points per game 2017 Florida: 21.8 points per game What did Florida do in 2018 after Nussmeir left? Average 35 points a game. What did Michigan do in 2015 after he left? Average 31 points per game. The dude follows Shawn Watson's book of failing upwards. This would be an absolute disaster of a hire.

Dallas Cowboys 2019 Offseason Thread of Mediocrity
Do you think Jerry hires a spread/innovative/college type or just goes after another NFL failure? Other than McDaniels, none of the OCs left in the playoffs are really in charge of the offense.

Sorry. Meant Tim Beck as a QB coach.

Dallas Cowboys 2019 Offseason Thread of Mediocrity
This might sound crazy, but I honestly think Tim Beck would be a good hire for the Cowboys. As much as we shit on him last year, even his style would be groundbreaking for the Cowboys. And I think he'd groom Dak well.

Jalen Hurts not happy; grad transfers to OU
I'm curious to see how Riley develops him. They'll certainly need to adapt the offense a bit for him. Hurts has 48 passing touchdowns and 12 interceptions after 3 years. As much as I want this move to hurt OU, realistically, I expect them to win about 10 games and Hurts to play better for them than he ever did for Bama. I think Texas can beat OU either way, but I bet Hurts destroys most of the conference.

2018 - 2019 Dallas Mavericks: Throw Some D's
Their 1st round pick will probably be in the top 5. There is no way they include that.

2018 - 2019 Dallas Mavericks: Throw Some D's
Orlando has way too many bigs (Vucevic, Bamba, Isaac, Gordon, etc). Bamba plays 16 minutes a game for them. They start DJ Augustin at guard... I just feel like it's something they might consider. Helps both teams.

2018 - 2019 Dallas Mavericks: Throw Some D's
From Orlando I'd take: Bamba or Isaac straight up. Maybe we could get Vucevic if we paired it with Wes' expiring and Orlando has realized they can't win with him. From Phoenix the options are much less appealing. I guess Josh Jackson, but DSJ seems like a surer bet than he is. Anything else from Phoenix would need to be multiple pieces or future picks, which I doubt Dallas wants.

Dallas Cowboys 2019 Offseason Thread of Mediocrity
In addition to a new OC, I think the Cowboys' offense needs a big target. I'd be happy if we took one of the 6-5 Big 12 receivers (LJH, Hakeem Butler, Antoine Wesley, David Sills) late in the draft. I think Dak needs a bail-out option.

Biggest Academy award fuck ups
How Green Was My Valley over Citizen Kane and The Maltese Falcon Hamlet over The Treasure of the Sierra Madre The Last Emperor over Broadcast News Driving Miss Daisy winning at all Dances With Wolves over Goodfellas Forrest Gump over Shawshank Boogie Nights not getting nominated Titanic over Good Will Hunting Chicago over The Pianist King's Speech over The Social Network It seems like the 50s, 60s and 70s were the glory days of actually getting the best movies the award the most often.

Where does his sister attend? Maybe he'll transfer there.

Kyler Murray - The Savior or Satan of OU Football
NFL QBs seem safer than college QBs these days. You can't sack them at their legs. You can't hit them in the head. You can't take them to the ground. The league isn't what it once was. Kyler Murray annoys me and OU sucks, but everything that was said about why he wouldn't succeed this year at OU is now going to be said about why he won't succeed in the NFL.

Kyler Murray - The Savior or Satan of OU Football
So this thread is just going to repeat itself again? This time with the NFL?

NFC Divisional Round - Cowboys @ Rams
The QB sweep play and the QB draw on 3rd and 14 were both very reminiscent of Ehlinger in the Sugar Bowl. When they design plays for Dak to run, he almost always does well.
