It's amazing what happens when those 2 guys leave Houston and start hitting the shit out of the ball, while we keep bringing in vets and they go into career slumps.
The best part of being the playoffs, the overehelming amount of evidence you get that you are never winning anything important with Green and/or VanVleet. Both need to be gone after this season, along with the GM that decided that having two undersized guards as the only guards in your playoff rotation was a good idea.
No one should really be surprised by his fall. He wasn't good here, he played on teams with 30+ NFL players and was never consistently great. Sarkisian's offense was able to cover for a lot of his bad traits with easy throws to athletes in space. Think about it, he had 4 of the fastest WRs to time in the last 2 years and never had a season close to what Mac Jones had at Alabama.
After Noel, this draft has been trash as far as matching picks with real team needs. The Mertz pick is fuking Caserio thinking he's smarter than everyone else, and trading up to do it. Caserio is not smarter than everyone else, because if he was, he'd never had put together that fucking abymsal OL he did last year.
It's very entertaining to see them gloss over their losses on the DL, which was their one real strength last season. They have what 2 guys coming back on the interior that were in rotation last season?
Then they are basically starting over at WR. They got a bunch of similar WRs, short and fast. Let's see how they do when trying to catch ducks from their QB 20 yards down the field against DBs that are bigger and more physcial than them. Their only hope on offense is built around the running game that is returning two guys coming off major injuries behind what is likely a bottom 2-3 OL in the SEC.
It shouldn't be, since Covid he's alternated shitty season with great season.

The problem is we have 2 guards in the real rotation. One is a fat undersized poor shooter, the other is a low basketball IQ undersized poor shooter. Both are average to below average defensively. The fact that Ime let those two shoot 7-30 without playing any other guard on his bench tells me Stone did a fucking horrible job building this roster and his continuation of doing nothing at the trade deadline is likely going to keep from playing more than 4-6 playoff games.
