  1. Don't drink, smoke anything, never have....which saves money for clothes and jewelry. 😎 Smith is a fabulous talent, our guys also compare him to the Stanford kid (brain freeze on his name), but I don't worry about skill players committing to USC. Chris Steele was just at USC Thursday, for the millionth time. JuJu also loved Oregon, but mom and dad loved USC. Who knows how it will end, but if another program outside of USC, it will be quite a feat, more power to them. Same with Bru McCoy.
  2. This is why I have nice things, and you don't.
  3. @Elmer_Fudd yes, We have Biggie, and Lockett and Ajene have looked really good. JJ has been so frustrating, all the talent in the world, can't get his academics straight.
  4. I'm a visitor here as well, but I would think your tiny brain could come up with some worthwhile discussion without being a total, flaming jackass.
  5. This player's recruitment has followed the recruitment of Adoree' Jackson to a "T". Chris talks to the coaches daily, has been on campus so much, he's on first name basis with security and everyone in McKay. he recently said that the biggest draw to a school is not focused on football and relationships with other players, he wants to establish long term relationships with alums outside of football, surrounded by future leaders/owners of big corporations "the next Bill Gates" sounds like a big city guy filled with USC alums.
  6. His official to USC will be in late June, if he decides to still take it.
  7. With no QB distinguishing himself for the starting QB job, and all hopes hanging on a true freshman that requalified from the 2019 class to 2018 to forego his senior year at Mater Dei, to come in as the savior in June? We may lose to both Stanford and UT.
  8. I've lied and made those same proclamations before, to a few past loves. Words are empty, darling! Lol.
  9. OU has always drawn from the part of California - like the Fresno area, referred to as "Fresneck" or guys with character issues. Parts of California no one wants to live. You'll be competing directly with us...smart kids that want a good education and a class program. Okies lose on both.
  10. Who do you want respect from? Frankly, you won't get it from the simple minded, uninformed fans of other programs with no sense of history and tradition, and what that means. You've always had it from fellow Blue Blood (except maybe the Okies) programs that are smart enough to know that CFB success is cyclical, but the blue bloods have an almost guaranteed chance to come back to championship level. How did we treat the Texas fans and players in L.A.? With respect, because we know it's just a matter of time before Texas is Texas again. wouldn't give the clowns another thought.
  11. No worries, if we lose, I'll simply go out and buy an expensive piece of jewelry to console myself....it lessens the pain. works every time.
  12. Oh please. Everyone out here is now saying Smith is all UT. All I provide is what we hear at the moment out here. He loved Austin, loved the college town feel, that doesn't negate what I posted earlier, that USC was a dream school, kids say that stuff all the time, wear their team gear, then fall in love with another program. Kids out here are falling in love with UT. That's why there is no such thing as a lock. the last thing I worry about is skilled player recruitment for USC, this early in the game, as in previous years, USC always start slow to end top 5. i have zero animosity, or ill wishes toward UT, USC will get who they're meant to get, as you will. Both programs will end with top 5 recruiting classes.
  13. DJ Uiagalelei is the top guy, only concern again, is he’s a highly ranked baseball prospect.
  14. Not even hearing Young is being pursued heavily, great player, but not the main guy they’re going for. Right now, there is so much hype about JT Daniels - who reclassified from the 2019 class to 2018, it’s going to be really hard to draw in a top QB if JT in fact turns out to start as a true freshman with a chance to start for three years. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/varsity-blues-j-t-daniels-calling-high-school-career-early-to-compete-for-usc-starting-job/
  15. Ask @closetojumping, he's the expert on SoCal recruiting.
  16. Slight edge, USC....as of now. He loves Texas, and education is important, so both schools fit the best.
  17. This is our world, we've lost more recruits to Notre Dame than any other program since the 1920s. The Catholic school draw is strong, and that campus is stunning. I grew up a Notre Dame fan...till I saw the light. Helps that ND was not co-ed till 1972....
  18. Can't remember who asked me about this kid....my pal Scott spent this past weekend in AZ visiting the big HS out there, this is a free article, all I can share from his site, but Scott did say it felt like Texas was getting a lot of positive buzz from the WC kids. https://trojaninsider.com/s/537/usc-feels-like-home-for-wr-jake-smith
  19. Haha. Don’t count on it...even if his nephew signs with Texas.
  20. No one is a lock, but several insiders feel Bru will be next to commit. Parents show up with him to practice decked out in USC gear. Adimora? Don't hear him mentioned.
