  1. DDD Dad

    Task (HBO)

This. I actually thought it was until I saw that there were previews. Thought it was an extremely satisfying ending as is. Hoping actual ending isn’t a let down.
  2. Too many clocks.
  3. Oh really? Like who? Frank Drebin? Rex? I’ll hang up and listen.
  4. As the person for whom this board is named, I really do resemble this remark.
  5. A dozen senators could even reopen the government. But it's the Democrats' fault.
  6. Kind of like the frog in the pot?
  7. Saving this for the eventual declaration of martial law. It really is amazing how you can look at this and think that we're not headed into full on authoritarianism.
  8. Fewer. And more importantly, there's a big football game on Saturday, amirite?
  9. So...she didn't ram a border patrol vehicle or otherwise put any of them in danger of imminent bodily harm. Cool, cool, cool.
  10. Hell, just send a bunch of state troopers to stop the trucks at the state line.
  11. And a pretty significant number of them in Ft. Worth proper, which is about as red as a city gets in TX.
  12. Not just white. White Anglo. Bad Bunny is white but primarily Spanish speaking.
  13. The radical left’s violence must be stopped!
  14. Deflection duly noted.
  15. Trump is skirting federal court TRO by sending CA NG troops to Portland over objections of CA governor. per NYT:
  16. He may be an asshole but Lucky Now is a great song.
  17. Fuck. He’s white. He’s just from PR. I dunno. As a UF law grad I’m not too particularly proud of its fan base or current administration. Kind of two sides of the same coin.
  18. You don’t say?
  19. What frustrates me about all of this is the framing of the problem. R's claim that the D's refused to agree to a clean funding bill. They were short, what, 6 or 7 senators (with the Nevada D senator and hoodie from PA voting for it plus maybe one more)? Didn't the D senators propose their own bill which had 46 or 47 in favor? Why couldn't 13 or 14 senators compromise and vote for that to keep the government open? The D's bowed to the R's back in the spring. They voted to keep the government open on the expectation that R's would come to the table to negotiate other issues. What happened instead is that they got steamrolled and the BBB was passed. Capitulation as a precurser to negotiation never ends well.
  20. More like RollRight amirite?
