  1. Nothing. The people who care about that shit are morons though.
  2. Exactly. The Big 10 won’t kick them out, but they’ll be making barely better money than the Big 12/ACC.
  3. I love Silverada (don't care for their name change, but not because of "woke", just used to something else) and I'm not completely digging the new dance pop sound of Wallflower or Radio Wave. Anywhere But Here and Stay By My Side (totally Willie-esque) are among some of their best tunes. Pretty interested to see which way the new album leans. I really dug the cosmic honky tonk shit on Cheap Silver, and thought One To Grow On was/is one of the best country albums of the past decade. Stands up next to Isbell, Turnpike, Sturgill, etc.
  4. I was extremely humbled when I started mountain biking. I’m a strong road cyclist that can handle about anything on pavement. The first time I had to walk a climb all I could think was “how am I such a fucking pussy?” The fact that it requires so much in the moment focus is what hooked me.
  5. Too many sleeves
  6. My wife is anti-kimchi. I have a man cave in our third garage stall and I keep the kimchi in my beer fridge. We’re all surviving. It’s amazing though. If I eat kimchi in the house and she’s gone, she can home 3-4 hours later and immediately know.
  7. I don’t hate them by any stretch. Just not Gaga about them like most people have been.
  8. Good day to ride in the Driftless. Ma Nature and a 10 month old have limited my regular rides this year.
  9. It looks like an April Fool’s joke
  10. Why in the hell is the default setting “no alert” when setting an event on your Apple calendar? The dumbest shit ever…
  11. As a Vikings fan, I'm not that into it. These are the best alts in the rotation and they should just be the regular unis.
  12. Absolutely. These guys are definitely Petty heads, too.
  13. I think the Coogs should make that their full time uniform
  14. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
  15. Same. I went in ‘18 when we were in the Alamo Bowl and had a blast.
  16. Michigan Rattlers were fed into my algorithm a few years ago. I'm not a hardcore by any stretch, but they have some songs I love.
  17. She goes out with the son of the Iowa MBB coach (who played at Iowa for like 6 years). Although a lot of people around Iowa City insist he's just a beard, given the current climate of the state.
  18. Holy hell this is stupid. I think they'll try their best to slide one of the Big 10 schools or OSU/Wazzu in there. If it's Big 12 on Big 12 I'd have to imagine they'd try and avoid a rematch. Most traditional Big 12 schools only play one or two newcomers this year.
  19. I mean, you guys constantly shit on us and there are schools who care less, and ergo deserve less. This is entertainment. Stanford football clearly isn't entertaining to very many people. I don't think they should be cancelled or relegated or whatever, but nearly every Big 12 program has more enthusiasm and interest surrounding it despite the history, academics, etc.
  20. My only point is that Stanford is completely fucking checked out. They’re a better school than ISU. They have more athletic history. And no one cares. Why is Utah pining for an association?
  21. There are maybe 5,000 people in Stanford Stadium on a fall Saturday. There are 60,000 in Jack Trice.
  22. Maybe it’s my Midwest bias, but what “halo effect” exists from playing sports against a bunch of schools that don’t care about playing sports? This whole idea that athletic affiliation drives academic collaboration is the absolute dumbest fucking part of realignment. ISU and Kansas will never be in the Big 10. Both schools regularly collaborate with Big 10 schools academically.
  23. It was magical. For real. Watching my wife take to something I’m very passionate about was awesome too.
  24. Taking a quick weekend trip to Chequamegon National Forest up in Hayward, WI. These are some of the best trails I’ve ever ridden. Not lots of loops, but big on through rides connecting various trailheads. Started the morning with 10 miles of single track. First 5 were excellent old school hand cut, last 5 were the newer machine made style that’s gotten huge in the Midwest lately. When I got back to Hayward, my wife was up and ready for the day so we rented a full squish for her and hit the 6 mile beginner course on the edge of town. She’s never mountain biked (avid road cyclist) and did awesome. It poured rain the entire time, but due to their sandy soil the trails never close. The beginner course was exceptionally well put together and was actually fun for experienced riders. Riding again tomorrow, but this system (CAMBA) is world class and any XC MTB in the US would be remiss if they never got here.
