  1. That's not how pleading the 5th works in civil cases. You can still plead the 5th, but the finder of fact (Judge or Jury) can make any negative inference about your decision not to testify. It's not perjury, but it pretty much is taken as an admission of wrongdoing.
  2. If you can find me a client to bill an hour of my time to watch that, I'll give them!

I would love to see Patterson at Arky with Holgerson as OC. actually, fuck that, no I wouldn’t. That might actually work.
  4. Eh, I get it though. If I'm driving way out in West Texas where LTE sucks, I'd like the option of Satellite radio (not to mention the sports coverage which is where it really shines IMO). And with the "Adventure Vehicle" name (that's what Rivian calls them), you'd think that they would want to have backups for people who actually use them in places without LTE coverage. I did see that they are supposed to add SiriusXM in 2024, not sure if it will be a "streaming" version or if they have the hardware already built in to get the actual satellite signal.

I mean Mack Brown has done OK at UNC (Electric Bugaloo). Arkansas should be happy with those type of results.
  6. Well, I mean obviously it’s a rebuilding project. So of course it’s a construction contract.
  7. Maybe the real champions were the friends they made along the way?
  8. That bacon needs more pepper.
  9. Musk took the MM scene from A Time To Kill - you know, the one with the speech "now imagine she's white" and applied it to twitter to "own the libs." He had the "Twitter Files" b.s. that accused old Twitter of shadow bans, etc. against conservative voices, and instead of saying it won't happen at all, just started applying it to voices critical of Elon (who are going to be more left-leaning/progressive). So, instead of "now imagine she's white," it's "now, imagine Twitter is using these tools to own the Libs" Or really, I guess it's along the line of "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." Either way, it's not free speech, it's settling grudges.
  10. Your ideas intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
  11. Dude, your internet search history is insanely specific. CBD, ex-Navy Seal Flannel, and John Deere tractors tailored ads. Are you actually @Al_4_ISU in disguise?
  12. Brought to you by the Johnny Jolly School of Dance.
  13. It's almost all pros for me, but it's not my first EV experience (wife had a Tesla and i3 before that), so I was aware of some of the EV issues. I have a charger at home, so I almost never have to worry about charging, and the times when I have (driving to/from DFW, Houston, or SA), it hasn't been a huge deal. I will say some of the "fast chargers" I've used have not been as fast as advertised, but all in all not a huge paint in the ass by any means. As far as the vehicle itself, here's what I like the most: It's stupid fast. No reason a vehicle this size should have 835 HP or go 0 to 60 in 3 seconds, but it does, and it's awesome. Now, I don't use that all the time, but it's nice to be able to floor it and get instant torque at highway speed if needed (and even going uphill - I drive up the hill on 2222 towards Four Points several times a month and if I need to I can gain speed going up that hill effortlessly. The space is great for my use case - I have 3 kids (8/5/2), the older 2 are in the 3rd row and the youngest is in a car seat in the 2nd row. That leaves enough space for a friend/family member to jump in easily with us if needed without playing tetris or moving car seats around. and when I've had to take the car seats out and put all the seats down, it really does have a lot space. It's fun to drive. In addition to the speed/torque, it drives really well. And it's actually gotten better with OTA updates (which come about 1x a month). One recent update actually adjusted the suspension and made the ride smoother, which is pretty wild when you think about it. It's also very Tesla-esque with driving, which I like. By that, I mean no start button, get in and go, one pedal driving is the standard/fairly aggressive (I hate EVs that try to make it drive more like an ICE - once you get used to one pedal driving it's a game changer). Really the only cons are the following, and none of them are deal breakers: It doesn't do texting when driving (no CarPlay or Android Auto, and no native text features. Supposedly coming soon, but who knows when that will happen). It also doesn't have satellite radio, which I was used to having in previous cars. And there are a few things that Tesla had implemented that I miss (green light chime at a stop light, ability to pull up blind spot camera on turn signal). And the built in Nav has some issues with not updating real time traffic and routing not being the best at times. But all of that can theoretically be fixed with future OTA updates, and none of them are deal breakers as I said.
  14. Congrats. Had mine since the end of June. Still love driving it.
  15. Gumbo with kidney beans? That's a new one, but I'm still in...looks fantastic. Looks like red beans and rice (and cornbread) to me. You should go the New Oleans more.
  16. I’ll just follow the smoke and get there around 6?
  17. https://www.in2013dollars.com/us/inflation/1963?amount=2.50 Man, that's only about $25.00 in today's dollars. We are getting screwed by big football.
