Sub-Educated Cretins: The SEC screenshot mega-thread
To be fair, CM was ahead of him in some ways. Mock had to step in to beat Texas Tech and almost kill BJ Johnson.

Legacy SEC Teams Had to Prove It on The Field
Actually, most other schools benefit from being in a conference. Alabama, OU, LSU, most assuredly benefit from being in a conference and they lack the size and resources to go independent. Michigan, Ohio State, and Texas could go independent but few others can. And that benefit can turn into a liability with the shifting landscape of college football conferences and base on the success of the programs. I suppose I would like to see how all of these programs revenue has been relative to the industry for the previous 50 years through the good and bad years.

Are you just rehashing the Alabama talking points following the title game?

Texas earned about $270 million last year in revenue. ND earned about $220 million. I think we will be OK.

2025 Peach Bowl: CFP QF - Texas vs. Arizona State - 12pm on ESPN
Targeting was designed to rule out the extreme hits, not the incidental contact or ticky-tacky stuff. That the media and former players and officials don’t know the rules, is pretty unlikely. All this shit is just manufactured controversy. Just like they do with Texas QB situations (is it time for the back up?) every year. Heck today, I saw discussions about the Georgia sideline penalty and they were acting like this was a first time issue for Georgia to do this. Maybe if the SEC would actually enforce the rules against UGA they would have not done it. Kind of reminds me how B12 used to allow TTU and OU get away with so much holding that they thought it was normal and outside of conference officiating their offenses could sputter out due to never having been forced to do their job correctly.

Skatteboo
His real impact was due to the 97 plays, bad Texas offense going 3-out, and bonus spots. He was most effective late in the game when the defense had been getting tired. He made the pass, but one TD was straight BS. He did his job though and was solid but it wasn't like he was Lendale White ripping off 6.2 ypc against our not worn out national champions defense and only getting stuffed once (IIRC).

He is pretty good, but way overhyped. If it werent for the incompetence/fuckery he would have had and ollie gordon like performance.

You see, the college football "analysts" don't actually watch games or know what they are talking about beyond the food quality in the booth. But they make their money driving clicks and creating controversy as much as possible wherever they can. So they will ignore the actual targeting, the bullshit spot/first down, the egregious holding, the illegal man downfield, sideline interference, OPI/DPI, pulling a player forwards, because it doesn't drive the point home to call B10 officials out for their fuckery, but they will instead latch on to some meaningless iffy play that was actually correctly called and try to argue about that incessantly for the next week because bullshit sells (e.g. essential oils). Calling out officiating for being corrupt or incompetent doesn't really generate the clicks like the insinuation that an undeserving team advanced. Note, these assholes were ready to shit all over Indiana for winning games and earning a spot, in favor of teams who lost multiple games and didn't, until those teams demonstrated why they were unworthy. Any of those assholes want to say that Bama/SCAR should be in the CFP today?

Odd that you had to read the thread to figure that out. Unless you were listening via radio.
