  1. I would never. Pogi, on the other hand….
  2. Equals bad news for the rest of the field. Sorry, not sorry, Bardet.
  3. It was amazing to watch Yates not just have the balls to make those attacks, but the fortitude to maintain the effort and finish the epic redemption story on the same climb where he conceded the jersey to the robot Froome. Equal to the admirable performance of Yates was the pathetic ego driven refusal to work together and fight from Carapaz and Deltoro. I don’t care if they say they didn’t have the legs to go with Yates, and maybe they truly didn’t, but I know what I saw, and what I saw was a disgraceful lack of effort and respect for the race.
  4. Thank dog my youngest graduates high school this May. I can only hope (pray?) that sanity prevails by the time they have children of their own who will enter the school system. My blood boils at the thought of my grandchildren, and any children, having to go schools in a hellscape of Christian Nationalism run amok and being “taught” (indoctrinated) phony morality by hypocritical political tribalists masquerading as righteous educators.
  5. I’ve put almost 20 years and a lot of money into my current retreat and future forever home in retirement. Only death or incarceration will prevent me from spending the rest of my life as a fixture in the Trans-Pecos. Hiking the Chisos and Chihuahuan desert, stargazing, paddling the Rio Grande and Devils River, picking guitars with the other desert weirdos and our dogs. It’s the golden years I’ve known I wanted since I was 19 and spent 30 days of primitive camping, hiking, and paddling in Brewster County. I’ve traveled the world, lived abroad in Europe in my 20s, and have been able to visit most places I wanted to experience before retirement. I can’t concisely summarize my disgust and disappointment with where we find ourselves, but I’ve spent too much time dreaming and doing the work to manifest the vision of my retirement to let it be ruined by these traitors and oligarchs. Damn them all. They’re not chasing me away. Again only death or incarceration will stop me going out the way I want.
  6. It’s all good. Musk’s savant Luke Farritor can decipher scrolls. Obviously qualified for unfettered access to classified information, the treasury, and to be integral in the overhaul of the federal government.
  7. I guess #66 is a fail. The war in Ukraine appears to still be in progress well after 24 hours of taking office.
  8. Those of us in the submarine world and other parts of the nuclear Navy know that Jimmy Carter passed the muster of Admiral Rickover. A much hotter fire than that which forged the likes of Longhorn Bob. A truly remarkable man who dedicated himself to the greater good and whose actions exemplified what it meant to truly serve. Rest in peace, Jimmy. 🫡
  9. I believe the Texas State Bobcats held Skat to around 50 rushing yards and less than 100 all purpose yards. I don’t see where so many people are getting the idea that he is a problem the Texas defense cannot solve. Unless the Sun Devils catch fire and the wheels fall completely off for Texas in that game, the Horns are rolling.
  10. Quinn? Lol, no. He does well to run for the occasional first down. Expecting Manning to see more playing time to exploit that weakness.
  11. Considering how Bama and Ole Miss beat Georgia, I expect to see a heavy dose of the Texas run game and a strong effort from the defense to force turnovers, and hopefully capitalize on them this time. Texas doesn’t have to get cute or overthink it. Just go play up to the standard and win the conference. Let’s go!
  12. Apparently the reincarnations of Jim Morrison and Hunter S Thompson have entered the chat.
