Dude. It ain’t the officiating. Whining about the zebras in this one is just bitchassness.

Touch of a rapist on short throws. Awful.

So what’s the plan when Yordan comes back? Tuve back to left, or chance him more than we have at 2B? From an offensive standpoint, 2B seems far superior.
This is assuming Yordan is basically relegated to DH to protect him, of course. Maybe that’s not the case.

I find it hilarious that Tucker took his sweet ass time last year and apparently an agent rep in all of his rehab sessions last year, but in a contract year he is trying to tough it out. Cubs fans are right to boo him recently for not running out grounders.

And people were surprised when Hartzell moved to SMU?
Let that sink in…SMU…more of a liberal haven of learning than UT.

His avg exit velocity is really high so that's probably fitting.
You’re not reading that right. His (allowed) exit velo is quite low - 87mph which puts him in the 91% for pitchers.

CJGJ out for the whole year is still better than Kenyon Green on the roster. I think it’s a one-year deal though - fucking bummer.

Houston will never have a vibrant downtown like Austin because Houston was built in the Golden Age of Sprawl. Houston has shit weather, shit natural beauty, shit for anything other than being inside in AC. What is did have was cheap ass land, miles and miles of it. Hardly anyone on this board "from Houston" actually lives anywhere near downtown Houston. Most everyone "from Houston" on this board lives in a suburb 30 miles from Houston downtown. Houston, and Dallas somewhat, are suburb cities. No one wants to regularly drive 30 miles to and from every weekend night for entertainment. I lived 25 years in Houston and suburb, followed by 10 years in Dallas and suburb, and now another 20 in Austin 2-4 miles from downtown.
Houston is what it is. Given a choice of having any major city in Texas to live, Houston would be last my list, and prob this board's list. The suburbs suck, the city and the whole area is ugly as shit, and downtown is lacking.
Nah, I’d say most of us on this board actually live in Houston. And I can tell you don’t really know the city. I don’t disagree with the negative points you’ve cited, but Houston also has a lot going for it that you won’t find in Dallas, San Antonio or Austin. Living in the most diverse city in the country has its positives.

I guess Altuve is going back to 2nd base.
DH, Yordan’s hand has been amputated.
All of the moves make us much more competitive and versatile in our lineup and defensively, and we don’t have to suffer through Cooper Hummel and Zack Short starts. Plus Brice gets more time to really develop, Cam gets more rest, etc. Going to be a (more) fun end to the season for sure.

I hadn’t seen HG1 all the way through in decades. Our kids are 11 - maybe a bit early but pretty much in the sweet spot for this humor. We had a fucking blast this weekend watching HG1 on Friday - the first time we introduced it to our kids - and HG2 last night.
The second half was stupid, but for a golf fan like myself it was still well worth the effort of the sequel. Fun cameos all the way around, some good lines, and a lot of connectivity to the current zeitgeist (Zalatoris and Scheffler being the most obvious, Daly, Spirinac, LIV etc.).
And y'all make a good point about how the second half of the movie might have gone down given the timing. LA Golf and Bryson might have the biggest windfall out of all of this - they were everywhere.

Woooooooo 😬
Makes up for the horrible no-swing call on Naylor, I suppose.

Wow, what a win.
I don’t pretend to know how WAR is calculated, but Brice did well the past two games. One-man show.
