  1. Never change Big 12 refs.
  2. Wine tastings aren't what they used to be in terms of price. None are really cheap anymore. On the bright side, most will knock off a tasting or two when wine is purchased. A recommendation on wine tastings depends on what type of wine you prefer (if you know). Some ideas: Pinot Noir - Walt Winery, just off the square in Sonoma. Our favorite Pinots in the area. We were white wine only drinkers when we first arrived in Sonoma and the Pinot Noir here was our "gateway drug" into reds. Zinfandel - Wellington Cellars, north of town between Santa Rosa and Sonoma. They have a number of Zins including from vines planted in 1882, 1912 and 1924. Cab and Red Blend - Three Fat Guys Wine, here's a curve ball for you. Just south of town, founded by three former Packers linemen, hence the name. They make a good red blend that's not too expensive (The Linemen) and a Cab or two that's good (though kind of expensive). I might have some other suggestions depending on what you like (white, red, bubbly, ports, etc.). If you want to combine a hike with wine tasting, you can check out Bartolomew Estate Winery. Beautiful spots to drink wine outside and the expansive property includes miles of hiking trails that lead up into the hills that surround the property. Plenty of Redwoods up there.
  3. I'm looking to clean out the closet a bit and have some tickets and memorabilia for sale. Most of it is UT related. In all, there are over 200 ticket stubs, two signed footballs and three other signed items. https://photos.app.goo.gl/BtRhgvgQCjuFM96p6 Notable tickets Oklahoma 1985, 1989, 2000 Texas A&M 1985, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008 Nebraska 1999, 2003, 2007 Penn State 1989 UCLA 1997, 2010 Ohio State 2006 Ole Miss 2013 The 1998 game against Texas A&M was the game in which Ricky Williams set the career rushing record and cemented his Heisman season. The Ricky Williams picture is signed by Mack Brown. Ricky's signature is printed, not signed. Th line to get his signature was insane! 1998 Spring practice guide signed by Mack Brown, Carl Reese (defensive coordinator) and several players. The football signed by Mack Brown was given to me by a friend who works at UPS. He was part of the ceremony of the "game ball" being delivered before the start of the game. The football signed by several players (multiple pictures) includes Archie Manning's signature as well as those of many other Saints players. Elois Grooms, Henry Childs, Don Schwartz, Fred Sturt, Derland Moore, Barry Bennett, Wayne Wilson, Ricky Ray, Reggie Mathis, Tony Galbreath, Rick Partrige, Garo Yepremian, etc. Appears to have been signed near the 1980 season. Richard Neal played for the Saints and the Jets as a Defensive End and died at the age of 35. If anyone is interested in these items please reach out to me. I do have a reseller interested in them, but I'd prefer to sell to a Longhorn fan directly if possible.
  4. Another Trump branded resort opportunity?
  5. IIRC, Hitler got a royalty every time his image was used by the German Government. So every postage stamp printed put a bit more money into his pockets. Let's not give anyone else ideas, OK?
  6. Are they going to lock up Boy Scouts, who historically have provided a service to retire old flags as stipulated in the US Flag Code? https://scoutingwire.org/everything-a-scout-should-know-about-u-s-flag-retirement/ https://www.legion.org/advocacy/flag-advocacy/flag-code Or is the intent the only transgression here? You know, kind of like what you are thinking as you do the deed. Orwell had a term for that.
  7. NO CRIME in DC? At all? Huh. That's excluding what the US Government is doing I guess.
  8. The shape and size remind me of an earlier weapon. Even the payload is somewhat similar 850 kg versus 1,000 kg. A bit faster, with a longer range and I'm sure much, much more accurate. Hopefully this has a greater effect on the conflict.
  9. So the evil liberals are making us all gay?!?!
  10. Animal Farm vibes
  11. We have friends in Germany who we've visited multiple times. In the recent past, they were looking forward to visiting us in California. That will not happen with the current environment and the reasons given were not implied, but quite explicit. They don't feel safe or welcome here. Just another anecdote, but this one affects us directly.
  12. Slowing hydrogen projects just as we are starting to get a good idea about how to find and tap pockets of hydrogen in the Earth. Nah. Let's burn more oil and coal instead. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/huge-reservoirs-of-clean-hydrogen-could-power-earth-for-170-000-years/
  13. And the most incompetent or corrupt building renovations in all of the history of construction! Humans have been building things for thousands of years. The Sydney Opera House had a reported 1,400% cost overrun. So it has to be worse than that. We truly live in extraordinary times.
  14. MUST CONTROL FIST OF DEATH!
  15. So this movie may have been just a few years off.
  16. KTLA report, so in I'm assuing this is in California. Covering ones license plate like that is illegal, as far as I understand it. Law and order!
  17. "Sir" - His most obvious tell about yet another lie.
  18. But Russia was booted from the G7/8 AFTER it invaded Ukraine with little Green Men and annexed Crimea. So, of course, he's wrong again.
  19. More hints that FEMA will be done away with in its entirety. When the feds do contribute money to an area it in the future it will be done differently: “We’re going to give it out directly. It’ll be from the president’s office. We’ll have somebody here, could be Homeland Security.” Wanna bet which set of states (red versus blue) will get the lion's share of the money?
  20. For pedo, sure. For dogs.... look who's our Homeland Security head.
  21. Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.
  22. Presidents' names and images should be removed from all such things. Replace it with "your tax dollars at work".
