  1. Seguin up, Petrovic and Bichsel "sent down" but will be available for game 1
  2. Just one spot left - will it be Columbus or Montreal? Jackets need Habs to lose and they need to pick up a win in order to take that last spot. We'll know tonight after the MTL/CAR game
  3. I'm not unconvinced that ana and musk are one in the same
  4. was curious how close we were to knowing the final field - seems to be some meaningful hockey yet: EASTERN CONFERENCE The Montreal Canadiens (idle) will clinch a playoff berth with any result in the Columbus Blue Jackets-Philadelphia Flyers game (7 p.m. ET; FDSNOH, NBCSP) other than a Blue Jackets regulation win The Toronto Maple Leafs will clinch the Atlantic Division title: If they get at least one point against the Buffalo Sabres (7 p.m. ET; MSG-B, TSN4); OR If the Tampa Bay Lightning lose to the Florida Panthers in any fashion (7:30 p.m. ET; SCRIPPS, ESPN, SN360, TVAS). Toronto (A1) vs. Ottawa (WC1) and Tampa Bay (A2) vs. Florida (A3) would be locked in if Toronto gets a point or Tampa Bay loses in any fashion. Washington (M1) vs. Montreal (WC2) would be locked in if there is any result in the Blue Jackets-Flyers game other than a Blue Jackets regulation win. WESTERN CONFERENCE The Minnesota Wild will clinch a playoff berth: If they get at least one point against the Anaheim Ducks (8 p.m. ET; FDSNWIX, FDSNNO, Victory+, KCOP-13); OR If the St. Louis Blues lose to the Utah Hockey Club in any fashion (8 p.m. ET; FDSNMW, Utah16); OR If the Calgary Flames lose to the Vegas Golden Knights in any fashion (9 p.m. ET; TVAS, SNW, SCRIPPS). The Blues will clinch a playoff berth: If they defeat Utah in regulation. OR If they defeat Utah in overtime or shootout AND either of the following occurs: - Any result in the Flames-Golden Knights game other than a Flames regulation win - The Wild lose to the Ducks in regulation OR If they get one point against Utah AND the Flames lose to the Golden Knights in any fashion; OR If the Flames lose to the Golden Knights in regulation. Winnipeg (C1) vs. St. Louis (WC2) and Vegas (P1) vs. Minnesota (WC1) would be locked in if any of the following scenarios occur: Minnesota point + St. Louis regulation win; OR Minnesota point and St. Louis OT/SO win and any result in the Flames-Golden Knights game other than a Flames regulation win; OR St. Louis OT/SO loss + Calgary loss in any fashion; OR St. Louis regulation loss + Calgary regulation loss. Winnipeg (C1) vs. Minnesota (WC2) and Vegas (P1) vs. St. Louis (WC1) would be locked in if either of the following scenarios occur: St. Louis regulation win and Minnesota regulation loss; OR St. Louis OT/SO win and Minnesota regulation loss and any result in the Flames-Golden Knights game other than a Flames regulation win. https://www.nhl.com/news/stanley-cup-playoff-clinching-scenarios-for-april-15-2025
  5. in my case, my FL in-laws are a lovely young couple with two children who would bring the never-magat quotient up in Texas, but I also know they are virtual unicorns in their area as well, so that doesn't bode well for any mass exodus
  6. if it were revealed he were an actual vampire i don't think I would even blink
  7. no way that fucker lives to 100
  8. correction to the above: games played are irrelevant. it's whether you're on the active roster. you can ride the bench the whole season and count against the cap
  9. they did have the easiest schedule, according to the intertubes. anyway, congrats on that jinx. lol
  10. I gotta think we have some cap room considering how long both Seguin and Heiskanen have been out. Am I not correct that cap hit is proportional to games played? In other words, if, for instance (I'm making this scenario up for easy math), Sequin played 41 games instead of 82, his cap hit would be $4,925,000 instead of the full $9.85M. Similarly, if Landeskog played the last Avs game only, his cap hit would be 1/82nd of his salary. I could totally have that wrong, though
  11. pretty sure the first digit is simply a typo (yes, I know that's not it). 324 looks way more like it.
  12. yeah, I see no reason to try too hard these last two. Keep guys fresh, especially since the avs are kicking back and waiting for us as of yesterday. hopefully we'll start sunday, but seems like conventional wisdom says saturday
  13. Smith with a shortie (lol, wow) and then they get the pp goal. 2-2 Stars
  14. hey folks, if I get disappeared to an El Salvadoran death camp, will one of you fight a little harder for my release than what is going on here? this is a horror show.
  15. kinda like announcing years later than you declassified something in your mind and didn't tell anyone?
  16. wtf, COL is the first team done as of Sunday. everyone else in the league plays at least one more. how the fuck does that happen?
  17. fuck, you're not kidding. three days off and we play two games while they rest. any chance in hell the league starts us on Sunday instead of Friday? does Nill get no say in that?
  18. I hear Toledo is cool, but not enough for me to want to visit over, oh i dunno, everywhere else first. but yeah, that's a yawner of a list (I had to look Allentown up)
