  1. I’m just going to assume season ending.
  2. We fucked up by completely abandoning the lateral run/pass game in the 3rd and most of the 4Q. Those plays to Worthy, Moore, and (should have been) K Robinson would keep the defense honest and prevent them from crashing down every play against Bijan or to rush the passer. They worked great in the first half. No idea why we stopped.
  3. I did it in 2007. It’s definitely not a thing anymore. I think there are police at every entrance and it’s 100% electronic etc.
  4. Every time Casey has gotten on the field, good things happen. We’re not an elite team but he gives us a shot against most opponents.
  5. I was very surprised when Karic did not start the season. He looked great as a true freshman. I have more confidence in Flood than I did in any of the parade of fools we’ve had coaching the OL for the past decade or so. However, I also think that the “Alabama effect” is real. Assistant coaches at Bama benefit from Saban running the program with an iron fist and having 4-5 years worth of #1 recruiting classes at their disposal. There are lots of coaches who would look good under those conditions. Hopefully there’s enough game tape, and Flood is willing to admit a mistake, such that he’ll adjust the starting 5 as necessary.
  6. Getting the blowout is highly underrated for exactly this reason. Live game experience is very valuable for young guys or those who are playing behind an established starter. Just don’t tell Tom “you only have to win by 1” Herman.
  7. Seems like throwing the ball over the middle into a crowd of about 10 people is a bad idea when all you need to do is run out the clock.
  8. Casey is a gamer. The decision is already made. We’ll just see when Sark announces it.
  9. It seems like Card doesn’t have good football instincts. In the first quarter against ULaLa it was 3rd and 7ish and he broke the pocket and could have easily gone for 10+ by just running straight up the field. Instead he turned parallel to the LOS at about 5 yards and got in a foot race towards the sideline with a couple of defenders. He made it in this case, but it just seems like he doesn’t see obvious plays when they’re there. He is also solely responsible for 3 missed TD throws and arguably a 4th TD on the turnover. After that play, they zoomed in on Sark’s face and he asked someone through the headset “was there pressure or something?” Card has no pocket presence and just looks unnatural moving around with the ball.
  10. The defense put up a fight in the first half. After our shittastic offensive performance and inability to convert a first down they got completely worn down.
  11. Sark made the wrong decision.
  12. It’s a good thing they locked up Jimbo for another decade.
  13. Is this a replay of Penn State - Wisconsin?
  14. Both QBs are good. Our defense is solid. Maybe the best backfield in the country. A coach who seems to know what he is doing. Pretty, pretty, preettttttty good.
  15. This is awesome. We haven’t made critical conversions like this for years.
  16. Imagine that - throwing to a RB out of the backfield. Our first coach in 10 years to understand this concept.
  17. So glad that we don’t have Tom fucking Herman at the helm.
  18. I can’t tell if VT is good or if North Carolina sucks.
  19. This Burmeister guy might be legit.
  20. This is probably the best result for all involved. The conference will still be somewhat competitive in football and will be strong in other sports.
  21. Per ESPN “breaking news”, UCF, UH, Cincinnati, and BYU are expected to submit applications to join the Big XII next week and could be approved as soon as 9/10.
  22. https://apnews.com/article/only-on-ap-kabul-7d9adb63dfed93b6d222a1e9ee902da5 US Army CAG (Delta Force) unsurprisingly performing rescue ops outside Kabul airport. I’m sure there are other units involved as well, possibly rescuing American citizens elsewhere in the country.
  23. Backup QB = best job in the NFL
  24. Tom’s legacy looks worse the closer you look at it. There were a lot of talented players on his teams and an above-average coach would have definitely won more games with that roster.
