  1. I guess “touched down” is a figure of speech in this case? Or did the team actually fly 90 miles to SA?
  2. Imagine how dominant Charles would have been playing a 5 technique in college...
  3. https://mobile.twitter.com/rossdellenger/status/1204848550758273025?s=21
  4. If you wait until 10 minutes after kickoff you can probably get them for $25.
  5. The idea that an expanded playoff will reduce the importance of regular season games is asinine. The NFL, with its 12-team playoff, has tons of matchups that matter every week throughout the season. Basically the current power brokers of CFB don't want to lose their ability to determine who is "best" based on opinion. Is there really something so unique about college football that the system used by every other sport across the world will ruin it?
  6. Yes. The regular season doesn’t matter when you get to the post season. It’s the entire point of the playoff system.
  7. I'm not disagreeing that the "best" team doesn't always win the championship. My point - and the point of playoffs in general, I think - is to give teams that have earned it the right to play for the championship. An no one cares who the best team is if you didn't win a championship.
  8. Lol. Why even play the regular season? Let’s just watch some 7 on 7 tape from fall camp and award a title.
  9. Nice straw man. Look, we all know that the lowest levels of college football will realistically never compete for a national title. Cut Division I down from the current ~130 teams to 80 or 96. Eight conferences with 10 or 12 teams. Conference title winners make the playoff. Everyone else plays bowl games like usual. Or if we absolutely can’t stomach the idea of demoting the Rice’s and UAB’s of the world, give auto bids to the P5 winners + highest ranked G5 + 2 at-large.
  10. So did Oregon. Who are they matched up against in the playoff?
  11. See how that works? You are wrong when you assume that you can project the outcome of every game based on regular season performance. Any "playoff" that doesn't include some objective criteria for entry like winning your conference / division is complete horseshit. College football is the only sport in the entire world that uses the eye test.
  12. It is already known that Georgia only cares about winning national championships despite having won their last one 40 years ago. They don’t want to be there. Baylor wins outright By the way, I’m serious about the last part.
  13. I think I remember reading that Roach, B Jones, and C Johnson already announced that they will be playing. Realistically all three need a good bowl game performance. No one on the team has done enough to lock in a high draft position.
  14. Agree but what I think everyone is hoping for is that we don’t hire a proven loser like Shawn Watson and Tim Beck.
  15. Utah is probably the only team that spent significant time in the top 10 that Texas has a puncher’s chance against. They run a ball control, run-heavy offense. Good RB but not going to beat you with speed. Conservative offensive play calling. Texas wins 27-24
  16. I think a 1-loss conference champ still gets in.
  17. Their DE also line up outside the tackle in a 5 technique. Our coaches didn’t know this was legal all year.
  18. Baylor’s best / only shot is for Hurts to turn the ball over a few more times.
  19. We should try this strategy next year. Right now we seem to primarily focus on hitting each other hard during spring and fall practice so everyone gets injured during the season.
  20. 3 game teaser today (6 points) Baylor +15 LSU -1 Wisconsin +22
  21. It’s tough, but I think Baylor winning today is the lesser of two evils.
