If Trump actually said this, it's a great response to sleepy-gate.  Of course, its an unnamed source, so its probably someone at the Bulwark coming up with what Trump should have said.

And you couldn’t be bothered to post a link to your admittedly questionably sourced quote.

I wish that the fine could escalate.   $1,000 for the average person is a lot.   Even for cash strapped Trump, that's nothing.  But if it escalated each time by a factor, that might shut his ass up.  But the current NY state law doesn't allow for that.

1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 16000, 32000 and so on would put him in a world of hurt fairly quickly if he hit double digit contempt comments.

He didn’t stop defaming E. Jean Carroll after her second lawsuit cost him $83 Million, up from $5 Million for the first one.

He’s a fucking child. He can’t help himself. He’s obnoxious and obscene and uncivilized. It’s who he is. He’ll never stop being a foul-mouthed lowlife.

That will be good for one, maybe two shows tops.  Then, ratings will nose-dive and it will be cancelled.

How’s that prediction working out for ya there, Stella?

Not that I think the show doesn’t suck but they’re currently airing their sixth season.

Fucking die already, Mitch. You know damn well it was Trump and that everything ties back to Trump and Russia and you were totally fine with it because you value power and party over the constitution.

It might be.  But I think it is more reasonable.   He is a career politician and this is a known strategy.  Give credit for something to someone, let them bask in the glory of something they didn't do in order to try to get them to continue on that path.   Only he is not dealing with a normal person, he is dealing with conman who has the attention span of a syphilitic squirrel.

    He’s a sycophant. Nothing more.

Just about everyone is head and shoulder above Trump.  But Biden has to be on the same stage with Trump in one or more National Debates.   You feeling good about those debates?

Yes. He wrecked Trump the last time they were on the debate stage. Did you miss that?

If you can’t tell that Biden is head-and-shoulders above Trump in terms of mental acuity, not to mention competence to do the job, then you’re either a child or a fucking moron.

Son, untwist your britches. Being aware or not aware of people in this grand story isn't an all or nothing/ black or white situation.

Untwist yours, bub. Nothing wrong with not knowing. Getting belligerent in defense of one’s ignorance is Republican territory.

If you’re not familiar with Devin Nunes’ cow then there’s probably a whole lot more that you don’t know about his role in the Trump-Russia collusion scandal. I don’t think you could’ve been following along while all of that was playing out without knowing about it.

I already have too many (vastly more important) things vying for my attention.

Then how have you ever heard the name “Devin Nunes” in the first place or about his role in the Trump-Russia-collusion-coverup and consequent payoff with an executive position in Trump’s fake Twitter enterprise?

Also, when this first was announced, I remember thinking, like most people probably, that this would become an annual event of short runs at the Sphere for Phish.  Same owner as MSG and obviously, they have they relationship.  But after seeing it first hand, I'm guessing the amount of work that goes into this to make these performances unique is, suffice it to say, a ridiculous feat.  They surely will play there again, but I'd be surprised if it's with any sort of regularity.

They upped the ante for Dead & Co.

  10. No Reba at the Sphere?!?!

Goddamnit. God Fucking Damn You Trey. What the fuck?

Ah, well. It’s not like they could top this one:

Phish has an unusual distinction in that I can say they played both the best and the worst concerts I’ve ever seen.

  11. Saw a piece on CBS Saturday Morning about Phish’s gig at the Sphere. I didn’t know they were just the second band to perform there after U2. It really is a Phishy thing for them to do.

Hey, look. They posted a long interview. Way to go, CBS.

  12. Synchronicity. This past weekend was the 31st anniversary of my first Phish shows. Back in ‘93, 4/20 wasn’t a date of significance. At the time I felt I was late to the party. I posted setlists earlier in this thread. (We’re still on the first page? Really?)

Before long it will be 20 years since my last Phish shows. Coventry wrecked me.

It’s complicated. I need to see/hear the Reba from the Sphere. They had to have played it, right? I haven’t even bothered to look at setlists at phish.net yet.

Divided Sky was the first of the few excerpts I watched. Awesome visuals. I thought the performance was a little clunky to start. I begrudgingly got into it toward the end. I’ve seen better but it took me back because it really is a great song. I even found myself chuckling at Trey’s pregnant pause that used to tire me out by how he seemed to keep milking it longer and longer every time.

I’d love to know if they can admit his extramarital affairs with Marla Maples and Melania into the record.

His affair with Marla Maples was public knowledge while he was still married to Ivanka. (Oops, I mean Ivana.) It was in the news. Johnny Carson joked about it. His character as a philanderer and womanizer was established over 3 decades ago. Some of his followers embrace that and think it makes him manly and a stud. I’ll bet Trump thinks it makes him BMOC. I think it should absolutely be admissible.

Another point of interest will be in how Melania reacts to all this being aired in public as factual testimony instead of being able to brush it off as gossip or hearsay.  Everything in this trial will be good fodder for her divorce case.

Right. Like when a whole lot of folks on here were predicting she was going to divorce Trump as soon as he left office.

    Not. Gonna. Happen.

What? You think THIS will be the final straw?

She knows damn well Trump cheats on her. She doesn’t care. The only thing that bothers her is that these trysts were made public. She responded by renegotiating her prenup. She’s a grifter and a gold digger. She’s not in it for love or honor or dignity or anything noble. She’s in it til the end. The only way she’d ever file for divorce is if Trump were left absolutely penniless with no properties or assets of any kind. She ain’t leaving him before the well has run dry.
