  1. Can't say I prefer that my bruising PF hang around the arc much, but with touch like that...I'll allow it. Hook 'em, Declan.
  2. Not our pitching standard. Maybe the most dependable part of tonight's lineup can rally.
  3. Ugh. Not a great night for us smacking the ball around. Then again, 5 runs against these guys should have been enough.
  4. No worries. Our expertly curated lineup is a churnin' urn of burnin' funk.
  5. No way were they going to give our muscled-up hamster anything good to hit.
  6. Let's not forget the other true steadying influence behind this amazing run.
  7. Maybe they should have gone with an anchor.
  8. Celebrating dingers with an oversized frog gig is a choice. But I guess those guys can hang a flag for Raleigh's first half HR total and keep fantasizing that Rodriguez is Griffey Jr. reborn.
  9. Notre Dame has been on my bad side since the 1970s. Nothing has changed.
  10. New variation: "Dirty Chavez"
  11. "You must be under this tall to destroy the Dodgers."
  12. Zack has not come up Short.
  13. It's laughable how far MLB's site always goes out of its way to ignore Houston. Not that we aren't used to the shunning, but day in and day out you'll find them saying the bare minimum positive about a franchise that's on a major roll against insane odds. I assume the dismissal is per orders of the commish, but no matter the reason it's become an egregious display of bitterness. Let's win again today to annoy them even more.
  14. No starting All-Stars. Minus our best hitter for this season. No clue when we'll get our slugger back. Starting some guys not even Astros fans know. And yet...a 12-2 record against first-place teams and leading the West by a country mile. If that's not fun, what in July baseball is?
  15. Next to maybe the Yankees, is there a better feeling than depantsing the Dodgers in their own park as Smoltz stifles nausea with every Altuve hit and Betts gaffe? Methinks not.
  16. Not to open any old wounds, but Betts seemed to know what was coming. I demand an investigation.
  17. What is this sorcery? I run out to check the local fireworks show and I return home to see I missed the main ones. Gruntling.
  18. Solid commitment announcement with the fam. No drawn-out games, just telling the world he's happy to be a Longhorn. A great Independence Day just got greater. webackup.gif
  19. "We'll see what it all means/where it all goes." All I'm sure of right now is that I've never seen Felix Ojo and Javonne Shepherd in the same room.
  20. I'd love to see us get a few of the guys we've missed on. Some fellow bluebloods with money, elite brands and solid coaches would love to have a few of our commits. We hold these truths to be self-evident. I follow Texas sports for enjoyment, not self-abuse, so I'll just hope things improve on the recruiting trail in the near future and try not to fret too much if they don't. Unlike most programs, we already have an amazing roster to protect.
  21. Shepherd absolutely comes to mind with Ojo. That doesn't mean the latter won't pan out, but if you're really not passionate about the game, the odds of NFL success will always be against you. So if he decides to strike while the financial iron is hot and go for max pay up front, it honestly might be his best move. Again, we'll see how it pans out, but I don't think we're talking about a kid who views a football career in the same way as a Banks or Turntine.
  22. Concerning OL play, I'll always take pancakes over crabcakes.
