Solid commitment announcement with the fam. No drawn-out games, just telling the world he's happy to be a Longhorn. A great Independence Day just got greater.

I'd love to see us get a few of the guys we've missed on. Some fellow bluebloods with money, elite brands and solid coaches would love to have a few of our commits. We hold these truths to be self-evident.
I follow Texas sports for enjoyment, not self-abuse, so I'll just hope things improve on the recruiting trail in the near future and try not to fret too much if they don't. Unlike most programs, we already have an amazing roster to protect.
Shepherd absolutely comes to mind with Ojo. That doesn't mean the latter won't pan out, but if you're really not passionate about the game, the odds of NFL success will always be against you. So if he decides to strike while the financial iron is hot and go for max pay up front, it honestly might be his best move. Again, we'll see how it pans out, but I don't think we're talking about a kid who views a football career in the same way as a Banks or Turntine.
I hate to ever pull for the Rangers, but it would have been nice of them to scratch out a win over Seattle in the 10th or 11th, when they had every chance. Not surprisingly, they were just too limp to do so. Seattle then got 3 T12 to win 6-4. Thanks for nothing, Arlington.
Amazing season so far. Pitching has been crazy good, and not just against the dregs of MLB. It's getting harder for the media to keep ignoring this team, but the national outlets are still working hard to do just that.
If we were loading up on expensive skill guys while other powers were taking all the top OL and DL, there would be at least as much wailing and gnashing of teeth. I'd much prefer to be in the spot we're in.
Maybe Christian Clark proves to be forever limited by his Achilles, but let's assume he's healed and can fully display his talent. At this point he's become a 2025 recruit instead of a 2024. So if he, Simon and/or Stewart end up being solid contributors, we're younger at RB than some fans seem to think. Grab a portal guy if you decide you need one this winter, but I think we're sitting in pretty fair shape behind Baxter and Wisner.
While I like Lindemuth as a player, I agree that adding more talent beyond Gonzales seems like overkill. From mid-March or so forward there should be a pretty locked-in lineup for every game, and we already know nearly all of the starters. If we had another small/weak freshman class coming in this fall depth would be a concern, but we obviously don't.
