Concerts you are attending
The 90s was fucking wild. I have only seen NIN twice way back in 94/95, and both shows were at Fair Park Coliseum in Dallas, and they were only four months apart. And according to this website, they played the exact same set in the exact same order. I mean, why? 1994-10-29 1995-02-11

Saw Magnolia & Johnson Electric Company at 29th street last night. WIll Johnson of Centr0-Matic (and current member of the 400 Unit) played with the surviving members of Magnolia Electric Company. They played for nearly three hours. They closed the set with Farewell Transmission and it was pretty fucking electric. Very happy I went. Just a great experience.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
The part about Arch sucking that is most disappointing is that it's just going to take that much longer for Parker Livingstone to get to 1,000 yards and 12 TDs.

RIP Robert Redford
Well, looks like Butch and Sundance are gonna get a watch tonight. RIP to one of the best to ever do it.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
At this point I'm beginning to wonder what the Milwee does. He's been Sark's hand-selected apprentice for six years. If he's not ready to take on the OC role and play calling responsibilities, what does he bring to the table? What's been the point of keeping him around for so long? He doesn't appear to be in danger of being poached. The one guy/position he coaches is sucking ass. I'm getting Eric Bieniemy vibes here.

"only murders in the building" on hulu
Agreed. The likelihood that this many murders can occur within an unlikely group of true crime aficionados' interpersonal circle, and them not only having nothing to do with said murders, but ultimately solving them? Completely implausible. I'm just not buying it.

It's a shit year for OL in-state and OTF is much, much higher on Turntine than anyone else. Not surprising.

Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, and Other Good Stuff
I posted about this in the "concerts you are attending" thread, but if you're into Jason Molina's music, the surviving members of Magnolia Electric Company are getting together with Will Johnson of Centromatic to do a few shows playing Jason Molina/Magonlia Electric songs in Texas. They're playing at 29th Street Ballroom in September.

I once emceed a burlesque show in Chicago with Blag from the Dwarves. He was kind of a dick. I saw Paul McCartney at ACL and he was fucking incredible. Hope he's still got some juice left 7 years later. But watching a then-76-year-old man running across the stage for like 2.5 hours was impressive.
