  1. It's so absurd that the staff has to play this game where they act surprised at Campbell's big "announcement" yet he's been part of the class for 6 weeks.
  2. I'm feeling very, very fucking happy that Mario Cristobol decided to go to Miami and allow us to get back in on Banks and Williams, which is why I said things were sub-optimal. And at the time, things were sub-optimal. But of course, shit changes. Which is why scrolling through hundreds of pages with the benefit of hindsight to say "I told you so" is a tired-ass bit.
  3. Why does a photo taken in 1999 look like it was taken in 1972?
  4. But guys, we've been told the "NIL deals" they signed require that they stay at A&M till they graduate. They can't portal out. They have to stay there. They can't leave....
  5. There are going to be some talented D Lineman available in the portal in the next two years.
  6. The answer you seek lies somewhere in one of the previous 1179 pages. Start there. And it you don't find it there, it's somewhere in the 597-page 2021 Texas Recruiting Notes thread. You could also join burnt ends, which will give you access to the NIL board, which has a number of informative threads/posts on the subject. Or, you could personally go and buy a five star recruit. I think the current rate is anywhere between $350k and $1m. If you do that, we'll buy you beers at the next happy hour. Just watch out for the IRS if you go that route.
  7. How often did Mack recruit over someone who was taking visits? I recall that being a "rule" but I can't remember specific examples of guys that got processed out of a class because they took visits. But I don't follow this as closely as many on this board.
  8. If you catch him in the act, it's justifiable. Like this case: https://abcnews.go.com/US/charges-texas-father-beat-death-daughters-molester/story?id=16612071 But I don't think this is the same thing. It was based on an accusation from a 9 year old. For the same reasons we say that police shouldn't be judge, jury and executioner of someone committing a crime, we can't accept this kind of vigilante justice. I don't think they'll be charged with capitol murder though. They'll get 20, do 10 and be out before they're 30. Probably get some cool prison tattoos too.
  9. But it's the same thing. You're slowly bringing the temperature up until it reaches the target internal temp and then searing it. It doesn't matter if it's done in water or an oven or your mother's vagina, which also melts in your mouth.
  10. Reverse sear and sous vide do the same thing. One's in an oven and the other's in a bag in a pot of water.
  11. Well, they both left y’all so I guess you don’t have to worry about them anymore. But yeah, it’s good not to have another talented QB on campus. Competition is bad and hurts feelings. That’s how sports works. Duh.
  12. Don't fucking keep your dog tied up in the front yard. 1) Everyone in the video was wearing winter jackets. Pit bulls are not labs. They don't like the cold. Don't be an asshole to your dog. 2) This is why you don't chain them up in the front yard. Chains break. Especially when being constantly strained by an 80lb ball of muscle. Keep your dog in the house or in the backyard. If you can't do that, don't have a dog. There's a sad situation around the corner from me. A lady is living in one of those campers that sits on top of the bed of a pickup in a neighbor's driveway. I feel bad for her because she's clearly not in the best situation. But she, and the owners of the house that she's crashing in, lets her big-ass pitbull roam free and untethered in the front yard. It's super sweet, but it doesn't like skateboards or bikes and sometimes it runs toward/barks at kids and people on bikes and skateboards. It can be kinda scary if you don't know that the dog is sweet. I want to go over there and talk to the homeowners, but I also don't want to fuck with a lady that lives in the bed of a pickup truck. It's easy enough to just avoid going over there. But they live at the bottom of a hill and my kids used to like to bomb it on their skateboards and now they can't.
  13. I'd guess that this guy has had problems with his neighbor allowing an aggressive pit bull to roam free in the neighborhood. And he was probably anticipating (hoping?) the dog would make an aggressive move on him on his own property. Probably an overreaction, but you can't have a dog like that off leash in a neighborhood with kids probably running around and playing. I got nothing against pit bulls, btw.
  14. That's some awfully delicate plating from someone who suggested loaded noach on aluminum foil was too "fancy" for this thread.
  15. That dumb motherfucker just confirmed it was Stewart. Just keep your feelings in check and your mouth shut and people would continue to just speculate.
  16. we got some lemonades last year and were surprised at how good they were. They might be my #1. I get down with Caramel Delights (formerly Samoas), thin mints, Peanut Butter Patties (formerly Tagalongs), the previously-mentioned lemonades, and maybe a few shortbreads and a small glass of milk for dipping.
  17. That's a bummer, but not surprising considering the change in neighborhood demographic over the last 10-15 years.
  18. There isn't one good sports talk radio personality in Austin. The best one is E Hogan, but he's about as vanilla as they get. Everyone else has fatal flaws: Bucky has turned into a doddering old codger that cannot stay on topic, asks 2 minute questions of their guests, and has no idea what's going on in the world of sports. This guy was a position coach at major college programs and he has absolutely no idea what's going on in college football. Craig is a top-tier college football play-by-play announcer. But he's boring as fuck as a sports talk radio host. I don't need to hear trivia about the backup fullback for the 84 Hutto Hippos. We get it, you have an encyclopedic knowledge of high school sports. Works mid-game. Doesn't work in a talk-radio format. Chad is a doofus. Trey is boring, as well as a total grouch. Rod is getting better. I appreciate the statistical research be brings to the table. But he takes too long to make his point, and doesn't have a compelling personality outside of the football-specific expertise he brings to the table. He's not a natural conversationalist. Kevin Dunn was fine. I'm not sure I'm going to miss him tremendously. Mainly because I listen so infrequently now. I liked BK. He was the opposite of Babers - he wasn't an expert, but he had good rapport with his co-hosts and guests, and he just felt natural on the air. They need a serious injection of talent because they've been reshuffling the lineups for a few years now and none of the shows are particularly entertaining.
  19. It's so hard being a rich white man in America today....
  20. Why would a coach stop following a player on twitter, even if they're no longer recruiting him? Seems unnecessarily petty.
  21. I bet you could trick the fuck out of that car and make a bitchin poon wagon.
  22. I remember when Dylan Moses was offered as an 8th grader and a bunch of people freaked out.
