  1. What are you guys thoughts on the potential income of each school? Over his career I guess $160k isn't that big a deal.
  2. That's why he's having such a tough time deciding. He's not sure if he wants to stay in Texas or not. He was smart enough to eliminate Notre Dame and a few others but keeps going back and forth with his two choices. As of last night he was leaning UT and of course that's what I'm pulling for.
  3. Nothing like waiting until the last second, but my nephew has to decide by 11:59 est wether to attend UT or Chicago law school. His COA at UT is $40k and Chicago is $200k. He's torn because he likes Chicago but he likes the thought of no practically no debt. Thoughts if any lawyers or non lawyers for that matter out there read this this evening.
  4. So sorry to hear this. I went through the same thing with my dad in 2019. Diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2018 which led to kidney failure and dialysis. Cancer went into remission but he just got tired of the dialysis and being sick after a year. I brought him to MD Anderson to see if I could donate a kidney but they said at 78 he was too old and wasn't in good enough shape. I know it's hard but just remember all the good times you spent with your dad. I had an awesome relationship with my dad but we just weren't the hugging and saying I love you type. About 2 weeks before he passed I told him I loved him and it was the best thing I've ever done. He told anyone who would listen and was grinning ear to ear. He was in hospice four days and all his friends since childhood came by to visit and he left us happy as can be. I hope your dad is feeling well enough for visitors. I'm sure he's so proud of the way you turned out and and cherishes every minute you've spent with him. 🙏
  5. Keith Jackson isn't coming back so we may as well get used to all the suck in announcers.
  6. You're a good man. Donating was a no brainer for me. I had cancer surgery early this year and 10 months later still cancer free. I was lucky enough to have great insurance and had no financial worries at all. I feel for those going through such a difficult time and have to worry about money as well. It looks like they are going to blow past that $60,000 goal. Come on guys and gals! Donate if you can.
  7. Hats off to the Sooner who donated. If he helped out how can we not if we have the means.
  8. The heart attack is making a lot more sense now.
  9. Big difference. I don't recall Ye using a derogatory term about his own race. Doubt very seriously if he would have lost all those endorsements if he just used the J word. I guess he got in pretty big trouble for the White Lives Matter t-shirt though. Dammit RGIII! You brought back a word most people either haven't heard in years or never heard at all.
  10. I've been aware of the word for years, but the only time I remember someone use it was in 1983, my freshman year in college. I lived in a dorm that year and there was these 2 guys from Houston that looked like aggy corps cadets. These guys were straight up hard core racists. I found out after a while everyone referred to them as "The Nazis". Last I heard they both dropped out and became HPD officers. Really surprised I haven't heard about these guys being involved in a George Floyd type situation. Real pieces of shit.
  11. Well now that I think about it, I guess I should be offended. RGIII was definitely talking about me because I didn't think Hurts would be a very successful NFL qb. I figured he would hang around the NFL 5 or 6 years as a backup and make a good living for himself. Happy to see him succeed even if he was a gooner for a year. Unlike Baker Mayfield, I can root for Hurts as a former TX HS star.
  12. Best I remember from his collegiate days, he was supposed to be very intelligent. Wasn't he considering law school and wanting to become a judge at one point? I tend to tune out the analysts when watching games unless they're just blatantly biased. I just hate seeing a guy lose his job for saying something idiotic.
  13. I can see if one of the white dudes said it he should get his ass fired immediately. In the context he said it makes no sense anyway. There was probably more honkies and crackers doubting Hurts would be successfull in the NFL.
  14. Man, I loved watching his interviews. I wish he would have retired 5 years ago and would have joined FOX or ESPN GameDay. Unfortunately this hits too close to home. I had a STEMI (widowmaker) last November, 10 minutes after walking out of my cardiologist office. He had just given me clearance to have a prostatectomy after a stress test, EKG, ECG, and a calcium score. I waited an hour with severe chest pain and several other symptoms before going to the ER. No way in hell I was having a heart attack after walking out of my cardiologist office. Doctor that I visited an hour earlier was the same doctor that put in my stent. He was shocked to see me to say the least. My PSA. Don't screw around if you ever have chest pain. I'm middle-aged, not fat, don't smoke, and I exercise on a regular basis.
  15. Bijan and Williams will be the 2 most successful in the NFL in my humble opinion. Top 2 guys 3rd and 4th at best
  16. Was thinking the same. But sexier shirt and most of all a tan, and she's right up there.
  17. I was on a flight from Phoenix to Houston back in October with the RB coach for ASU. He was on his way to Houston then over to Austin on a recruiting trip. Said he played WR at Wyoming. Nice guy, but you would sure wouldn't look at this 6' 2" Hispanic guy and think RB coach. Told him sorry the Sun Devils suck but sure was happy to have Bijan. I know, CSB.
  18. My question is who's the next great back people will compare to Bijan. I can't remember which announcer it was, but he said he couldn't think of an NFL back who had better hands out of the backfield than Bijan.
