  1. Man, that’s rough (edit - 2 posts up)
  2. That’ll haunt you for the next 70 years or so.
  3. C’mon dry air!!!!
  4. I don’t know what to say. This is devastating. Sadness beyond belief.
  5. I was thinking that if not for the storm, 4th of July at camp would have been one of the most fun days of their lives. That this happened at the time of day that happened, it was like a perfect storm (no pun intended). A few hour earlier or a few hours later and they could have evacuation. Fate can be exceptionally cruel.
  6. The stuffed animals and little pink hairbrush on the floor are hard to see
  7. I’m so sorry for your friends. I recognize her from the pics that have shown up on a lot of news sites. She’s a cutie. RIP little one. I’ve been on the verge of tears all day and this pushed me over the edge.
  8. I can’t think of many things more heartbreaking than dads wandering through rubble looking for their precious daughters that they know are dead.
  9. Pic taken at the camp. Completely heartbreaking.
  10. That is heartbreaking to hear but glad she made it.
  11. I wish we had a “crying” emoji for giving rep. I can’t help but think about how scared those little girls must have been. I hate that my mind goes there.
  12. I don’t know what to say. This is heartbreaking beyond measure. The loss of all innocent life is terrible but when kids die like this it’s crushing. I’m so sorry for those affected by this tragedy. I wish I didn’t know about this. Even as someone who is completely uninvolved I’m not tough enough to take this kind of stuff.

  14. Thanks but my daughter and his daughter didn’t really know each other well. She got her number from a friend and sent her a text and got a ❤️ response. I guess that’s how people do it these days.
  15. Sheeeit, that’s all you had to say. hook em
  16. Why would his mom be wearing a formal dress and corsage on his prom night, unless…… I assumed it was his date which would be a pretty impressive score for him. Maybe he’s like Meat Pimp. He’s just got next level game.
  17. Prom? He looks like he’s 14
  18. Wife just told me that one of the firefighters who died was the father of my daughter’s classmate. Terrible CDA is a pretty small community and reveres their first responders. Many cars bear “K27” stickers in honor of the one and only (afaik) LEO killed in the line of duty. His kids are being raised by their grandparents I believe and live 2 blocks away from us. https://www.cdaid.org/3469/departments/parks/k27forever
  19. lol, you guys really don’t like having your preconceived notions challenged.
  20. Yeah, not sure why you are being shitty. I’m just telling my experience as someone who lives there. If that doesn’t jive with what you’ve been told by a friend of a friend, then just accept it as an anecdote. Or don’t. I really don’t give a shit.
  21. I live in CDA…. Part time. My wife and kids live there full time. I live the other part of the time in the east bay due to work. CDA is awesome. Beautiful, clean, safe. Super nice people. Coming from the east bay, it’s at first a bit shocking how white it is. I’m Asian. I’m not saying there isn’t a presence of racism there but I’ve never seen it. Nothing close to it frankly. I see more racism in the Bay Area by a long shot. That probably has way more to do with congestion and socioeconomic forces than it does to “good people” vs “bad people.”
