Fucking yes! That's what makes all of this so fucking frustrating.
Both sides are like 95% the same. We are all just trying to do our best to raise our kids, make some money, and have some fun. We've both got normies and weirdos and online freaks and political dorks.
But for some reason, we keep electing and platforming the people (including, unfortunately, Charlie Kirk) who draw attention to our differences. The President of the United States said today that he "couldn't care less" about violence from those on the right. The country will not survive with this attitude.
If we as a country do not want this man to die in vain, then we can start electing unifiers instead of dividers. We can recognize that it is unhealthy to immediately assume every horrible act is committed by someone that embodies all of the characteristics we personally hate. We can acknowledge that the world is so much nicer when you aren't fucking filled with carefully algorithm'd rage pumped into your brain 24/7.
I'm not holding my breath, but I'd sure like to see it.
