  1. Leave it to a Baylor football player to not listen when we all just want him to stop.
  2. It's almost cliche to say at this point, but it really is remarkable how the Republicans seem to be governing with no concern towards electoral ramifications.
  3. Jake and Cam are worthy choices, absolutely. But besides maybe his girlfriend, there are zero people on this planet who thought Jeremy Pena would be a legitimate MVP candidate this year.
  4. Very good book. It's been a few years since I read it, but remember thinking it would be hard as hell to translate to the big screen. Trailer looks solid, hope they pull it off.
  5. Gotta say, this is one of the more annoying recruiting stretches I can remember. Not because the sky is falling or anything, but it sure feels like a lot of manufactured interest for no real reason. A ton of dudes that everyone on this board would have assumed are headed elsewhere until “trust us, Texas is RIGHT in this thing”… only for each of them to pick the obvious choice. We’re still gonna end up with a class that gives satya nightmares, it’s just annoying that we were even paying attention to any of these players in the first place.
  6. When historians are performing the autopsy on America, they will be astounded at how much of the downfall can be directly linked to this motherfucker. From his Supreme Court shenanigans to refusing to push for Trump's impeachment after 1/6, there are few non-heads of government in history who have single-handedly done more to harm their own country than Mitch. (I think he realizes this as well, as his actions lately appear to be a buzzer beating attempt to get into heaven. Fuck him.)
  7. Again, Newsom seems to be the only one in this party who understands how to play the game in 2025.
  8. Seriously, how is there not universal, nationwide embarrassment from shit like this?
  9. To be clear, I 100000% agree with all of this. Your initial post was Israel-specific, so that’s what I commented on. But yes, most of the Democratic party’s core beliefs are insanely popular with the masses but messaged horribly and allowed to be largely defined by the opposition. But it is also important to acknowledge that Beshear and Mamdani are very, VERY different politicians and assuming that any specific messaging that worked for Mamdani is replicable nationwide is a dangerous conclusion.
  10. Whoa dude. You made a post about the political implications of a stance of Israel, and I was simply trying to point out that drawing any definitive conclusions about that would be misguided. I’m sure folks tried to write essays about how Democrats could replicate Doug Jones performance in 2018, but sometimes the simplest answer is “run against a Roy Moore.” Mamdani capitalized and tailored his message to appeal to a voting base that is amenable to his pitch, but the main reason he won is that Andrew fucking Cuomo was the main competition. Don’t nominate Roy Moores.
  11. See, this is a perfect example of the incorrect conclusions that will be drawn from this race. The correct conclusion is “you ran an establishment candidate SO UNPOPULAR that a socialist, Muslim, anti-Israeli candidate won in the most Jewish place in the country” not “a socialist, Muslim, anti-Israeli candidate won because of his stance on Israel.” And I know you are smart enough to know that NYC politics is in no way replicable throughout most of the rest of the country.
  12. Winning Gordon vs Wheeler is absolute theft. This team makes no sense to me, but starting to grow fond of them.
  13. It’s insane to me that the Dems aren’t going all in on “fuck the billionaires.” They all showed up to his inauguration. They all have bowed before their king. They gave Dems the ammo, and none of them realize that they are passing on a slam dunk.
  14. The takeaway needs to be "the status quo is not okay" not "we need to run a bunch of Mamdani's."
  15. Last week’s attack was the equivalent of a nuke, according to our stable genius.
  16. There are no words to explain how fucking dumb it is that we have to read the words “big beautiful” any time this goddamn bill is discussed.
  17. Not speaking about his ability to be mayor, just how gross this election cycle is about to get.
  18. Hopefully old Dems understand the message being sent tonight. But four months of election talk featuring Mamdani and the Jewishest city in the country is going to be hell on earth.
  19. Same with these folks, I assume? https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/24/us/politics/iran-nuclear-sites.html
  20. Was she brown? If yes, then it’s exactly what Stephen Miller wanted.
  21. He's legitimately cosplaying being President... while actually being President.
