  1. I follow this shit more closely than 99.999% of the population and I have absolutely no idea what CDC tweet Liucci is referencing... and a quick scrub of CDC's last month of tweets doesn't provide any clarity either. Their ability to get worked up about the stupidest shit is honestly a super power.
  2. Dunno where else to put this, but shit is BLEAK for rural public schools. https://www.texasmonthly.com/news-politics/rural-school-districts-are-facing-financial-ruin-some-state-officials-prefer-it-that-way/?/?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Organic+Social&utm_campaign=SND
  3. When your GOTCHA!!! quote includes the word "fringe" and "marginalized", lmao If aggy beats Stanford tonight and we get to host a Super Regional, Ana will be in the thread with a bunch of "BUT I THOUGHT YOU GUYS SAID AGGY WAS BAD?!?!"
  4. Uh, I get that he has basically an unparalleled resume, but he had very clearly lost a step when I heard him defending Deshaun Watson.
  5. Yeah, I always thought he was 60+ until about 5 minutes ago.
  6. I have no idea if that was a good episode of television, but yeah... holy shit, I cannot believe he pulled that off.
  7. This is 100% correct and a take that has surprisingly been ignored. Logan chose selling the company over giving it to one of his children. The denial of this fact makes the "who do you think Dad wanted?" conversation in the finale equal parts heartbreaking and infuriating. The ending was clear from the very first episode: none of these kids are worthy successors. The four seasons are merely their journey to this realization.
  8. I shouldn't be, but I am genuinely surprised that they're going back to this well. Generic "gay pride" hatred is a well-documented losing battle for the right. It seemed that they were making a concerted effort to keep their focus on transgender issues (not that I necessarily think that is any more of a "winning" message, but it was at least seemingly strategic) for a while, but now they've slipped back into boycotting anything with a rainbow and "ALL GAYS ARE PEDOS." The normal public moved on from that shit like a decade ago, these culture warriors have no idea what they are doing.
  9. Even moreso when he put his feet on the desk. “You’re not serious people.”
  10. Fun fact for those unaware: Bert was the real life inspiration for Van Wilder. https://nypost.com/2014/05/19/the-real-life-van-wilder-reveals-a-life-of-drinking-and-debauchery/amp/
  11. This show does break-ups as well as I’ve ever seen. Both this one and his with Ally back in Season 1 were so goddamn real and authentic. Given the initial premise, it’s amazing what this show has turned out to be. Oh and “Mr. McAdams” is the song of the summer.
  12. It’s probably the best non-HBO show on television. Incredible how few people know about it, especially given the insane star power of the cameos. Sorta feel like it’s some deep form of therapy for the real Dave. Imagine these are a lot of the same demons he battles in real life.
  13. I swear I saw some good swings from him in Spring Training. What the fuck happened between West Palm Beach and Houston? And it's not simply better pitching, because this dude is now whiffing on meatballs.
  14. Some girl that I knew from high school posted about boycotting target because they are selling "tuck-friendly bathing suits to kids and toddlers." Against my better judgement, I told her that the statement is incorrect and posted the following link (with no other commentary): https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-target-swimsuits-transgender-pride-collection-892500330955 She replies that "I'm sure you can find an article on whatever viewpoint you want" and then blocked me. This country is so doomed.
  15. Interesting, I honestly couldn't disagree more. Genuinely curious who the shield was that you think he was hiding behind? I'm surprised Carolyn didn't get any votes, but I think the best player won.
  16. Absolutely elite final tribal performance by Worthy winner for a season that ended quite strong.
  17. My oldest is the same age. Between the politics and the weather, I'd leave in a heartbeat if the wife would agree. But she won't go anywhere unless her family comes too, which ain't happening. So I guess we're stuck at least until our 2 year old gets to college, which is a horrifying thought.
  18. Some incredible (and infuriating) reading here: https://www.expressnews.com/projects/uvalde/victim-obituaries/
  19. 15 of our 25 players on that World Series roster had/have an All-Star game on their resume. Of the other 10, 3 have Gold Gloves and one has a batting title. There's a case to be made that it is the most talented roster in baseball history. Still can't believe we didn't win.
  20. "We should use Texas's response to our bulletin board material as bulletin board material" is the most aggy thing I can imagine.
  21. Well, he made one of the most important catches in the history of the franchise... so he's okay in my book.
  22. Still can’t believe they gave away a generational talent for the equivalent of like Ronel Blanco. This should be the only thing anyone talks about ever.
