  1. But he wasn’t 60 minutes with the intentionally false reporting. Sounds like some fake news
  2. You’re exactly right. This stuff shouldn’t be partisan. But that is why 60 minutes is airing nonsense like the Publix vaccine story. Partisan reasons. It’s really tired at this point.
  3. I’m not going to convince many (any?) people here that it’s being overblown. The point is reasonable minds can disagree with the CR groupthink on this issue without being “white supremacists”. Here’s a thread from a national correspondent for Slate. And yes, moving the MLB all star game to the local citizen’s detriment was silly political grandstanding.
  4. Of course they do. Are they currently stopping people from doing things based on that data? No. But that’s what some people here would like.
  5. This is exactly it. Yourself and people like you think it’s a good way to punish a minority of people that you don’t like. This whole idea sets up a precedent and if implemented an infrastructure to expand that idea to different sets of people that haven’t been thought of yet. Also it actually sets things back as things are already opening all over the country. We don’t need some new clearance system to allow it.
  6. Again, I was giving another example of personal health information. Jesus. Maybe I shouldn’t be shocked that people support the vaccine passport idea, but I kind of am. Just remember, “before granting any power to government, first imagine that power wielded by the politician you despise most. because one day, it will be.” Requiring government permission via vaccine passport to do basic things like travel or eat out at restaurants or work going forward is a terrible fucking idea. It may not start there but it will get there. It will be expanded upon by people you don’t like. As we’ve seen, people can get canceled. You haven’t had your booster, you need to go home and so on. And please don’t go on about how it’s private companies that will want this. How are airlines not doing government bidding on things like this? They’ve been bailed out repeatedly. Big corporations and government are hand in glove at this point.
  7. I did rebut. I don’t rebut every single poster. If I post something, 10 people reply. I’m not going to respond to each one. Sharing a WSJ editorial that people here disagree with may be uncomfortable for y’all, but it’s far from trolling.
  8. How is it designed to limit black voters? There’s more early voting access. Offers no excuse absentee ballots. Makes drop boxes permanent fixtures in voting. I can see why people see state level trying to take power over local as problematic, but Jim Crow on steroids and let’s boycott everything is fucking dumb though.
  9. Ah yes. The white supremacists. You’re not a serious person Jimmy.
  10. I’m up to about 98% sure that this year’s bull market is a go, so I’ve allocated almost 60% of my net worth to BTC and crypto proxies. By the end of this year, there will be some more aggressive regulatory actions or something that will cause a big sell off and end this cycle. Then the real fight to be truly integral to global finance will happen. I still put 90% chance of it being successful long term, but it will get hairy for a while.
  11. It’s more that it’s personal health info. A communicable disease although far less so. I’m honestly surprised that people are going for this. It such an obvious thing that is rolled out under “emergency” pretenses, but never rolled back, and ultimately expanded.
  12. This is pretty fascinating if true and it looks to be. A Twitter verified CCP/DNC bot. Click on the thread.
  13. Would it be ok if everyone had an ID that said if they were HIV or Hepatitis C positive?
  14. Y’all dumb af. Have a good night. 💤
  15. And I want to clarify. I think people should get the Vaccine. Especially elderly and high risk, but I never blow off people’s stories of vaccine issues anymore. Just how my experience has affected me. I know people asked earlier. Carry on.
  16. Correct and it was Fantastic. Only reason I’ve left it as avatar is it’s so triggering to you weirdos.
  17. Siri, tell me how I know you’ve never been to Bob’s. Are there any Surly 1%ers that can clear this up for poor Jimmer.
  18. I get that this is hard for people to understand. I work in medicine, as did my wife, and I would’ve never thought vaccines could cause any problems. Then my son had a bad reaction to a vaccine. Fever and rash all over his body in the days immediately after. Almost immediate regression in speech and social skills. Ever since then multiple food allergies. Many years and tens of thousands of dollars of therapy to bring him back to being a “typical” kid. I would’ve been a douche too before this happened to my family. But life can humble you. Again though tell me it’s impossible.
  19. Bob’s Steak and Chop House is awesome. Don’t you have HP connections? You’ve never been to the one on Lemmon?
  20. “Studies show this doesn’t cause this”, but when you experience something like this it makes you realize not all outcomes are truly appreciated.
  21. C'mon, man There are no adverse effects. The studies have already show that.
  22. I’m going to have to ask you to take any and all propaganda elsewhere. Thanks.
  23. Everyone I know that pays that much in taxes has been smart enough to figure out access to a shot if they want it. Sounds like a Penelope problem. Google is your friend.
