  1. Another great episode.
  2. Played in his golf tournament yesterday. RIP to a great Longhorn and what a weekend to honor him. Jeff hit one out in College Station that still hasn’t landed. Talked shit the entire way around the bases.
  3. I can't think of a case where we've seen a highly rated guy perform below expectation level and suddenly put it together in the NFL. Those highly rated guys are almost always drafted by someone thinking they can find the missing link. Ewers is a much better prospect than a lot of guys taken before him but there's always been something missing. The mental side of it, that "want to", is very hard to predict or evaluate. You have to have shown the production and he's a little light in that department. He's shown he can do just about anything but there's a lack of consistency, there's a lack of ability to snap out of poor play in-game. You have to wonder what the injury reports show. I'm wondering if we have a situation similar to Rod Wright here.
  4. We are so light. They have Flores and Galvan pegged
  5. Every Tuesday game should be used to find another arm or two to help down the stretch. Keep trotting guys out there and give as much opportunity as possible.
  6. This place used to be top 5 in the state and very difficult. The Bermuda Augusta. Temple-Inland used to pump money into it but that stopped years ago. Was a great stay and play trip too.
  7. And he’s on his way to being bigger than Andy Reid
  8. They are hitting .257 in conference play and that's after the recent improved play. Pitch around or keep Laviolette in the ballpark and this lineup is pretty soft. Bear Harrison is their best hitter in conference play and he's a righty. Henseler has a little pop from the right side but there's really not much to fear after Laviolette and Sorrell. Kent is hitting .274 in conference play......Kash .226 lol.
  9. And Linder at Tech is a great example of a head coach turning his offense over to an assistant. That is a different scenario. He was willing to do that and it's a credit to McCasland. What I'm saying is, if you aren't willing to do that, who you hire isn't going to matter. I don't see how Miller's defense is going to improve if he isn't willing to adapt or change. If McCasland wanted to still coach O at a snail's pace, Linder wouldn't have mattered. He wouldn't have taken the job either....
  10. You've jumped to a number of conclusions here. As far as the coaching search, I just post what I hear. Just like when Beard to Texas became a thing. You and the other tards denied it, you were wrong. Go back and read that thread when I chime in. Assistants in CBB believed McCasland would be attainable. The Baylor thing was real the year prior. In the middle of the run this season, things change obviously. Did Beard and A&M become a thing? Who called that first? Same info from the same sources.
  11. You mean when Barnes went to study the Jazz in the off-season before 2010-2011? The offense featuring flex cuts and staggered screens? You're crediting Rob Lanier with that?
  12. Donewald is Beard’s player development guy. Hes fantastic, no argument on that role. Remember when Beard’s defense was all due to Adams, according to the Tech tards on this board? Then it wasn’t. Did Rodney Terry run it? Did it carry over to his head coaching job? Nope. Assistants teach what the head man wants to run. If Miller isn’t changing philosophy, assistant hires aren’t going to matter.
  13. An assistant isn’t going to change his defense, he’s going to coach defense the way Miller wants it. It isn’t getting any better. Its an underwhelming hire, assistants aren’t changing who he is.
  14. Are we back on the Shaka’s assistants shit? The guy fucking sucks no matter who sits beside him. Tex Winter could be next to that choke artist, it isn’t going to make a shit. You are there to learn the head coach’s system and teach it. Shut up more than you talk and recruit your tail off.
