  1. I assume that you have sufficiently investigated, but Illinois has two kinds of classic plates - the restrictive ones like what you describe, but also an "expanded use" version where you can only drive to shows, gas station, and for service during November and December, but which allows for typical classic driving (i.e., not daily driving) the rest of the year.
  2. You can also donate your carcass to the LSU body farm where it will be used in forensic research. https://www.lsu.edu/faces/fterf/donation.php
  3. He has an old phone of ours that he uses to play games over Wi-Fi - no SIM card or cell connectivity. I just noticed that this picture of a game glitch in which a horse appears to be eating the ass of another horse is his wallpaper/lock screen.
  4. I will be astonished if Jan is willingly or knowingly part of a grand plan in any way.
  5. I am pretty salty that this was the last year when we get Monaco, the Indy 500, and the Coca-Cola 600 all in the same day. Might boycott Monaco out of protest.
  6. There are two good things and one bad thing about having the veins pop out of your hand. It looks cool and means that you're probably pretty strong, but it provides aim-assist for mosquitoes.
  7. I just tried to watch the replay on Prime and it was useless trying to fast forward to the start of the race. No little thumbnail comes up when FF'ing so I just had to guess where to stop it, and after 5-6 different guesses where each time I stopped, it was either still showing pre-race crap or a commercial, I just gave up. I'm not about to fight with all that for a 600 mile race. I often have to watch races on DVR a day or two (or more) later due to other commitments, but I probably won't bother with anything but watching live during the Prime portion of the broadcast schedule. NASCAR sure is good at shooting itself in the foot. Fucking morons running the show. Disappointing.
  8. Maybe it's time for us to conclude the Marco experiment.
  9. Surprised that George didn't get more "protest votes" for Driver of the Day just because he cut the chicane.
  10. Somewhere, Jarno Trulli is smiling.
  11. I've said it before and I'll undoubtedly say it again - the bar right next to the Spirit gates at MSY is one of the best people-watching locations in the country.
  12. Roger making a pretty bold public response to the infractions - fired team president Tim Cindric, managing director Ron Ruzewski, and general manager Kyle Moyer.
  13. My favorite memory of Bark at the Park in Miami was watching a stream of dogpiss navigate an entire corkscrew ramp.
  14. There's a Subaru commercial where dogs are driving the car, and one of them makes a little whining/yelping noise, and it wakes or startles our dog every time.
  15. Funny, I remarked to Mrs. Doom last night how refreshing I find it to be tuning in once a week for a show I'm genuinely looking forward to, rather than devouring it over a few days and then immediately forgetting half of it.
  16. Kindly, that's hideous.
  17. That's kind of every Jason Statham movie though. But Beekeeper is an amusing experience. Perfect airplane movie.
  18. I don't necessarily know whether Harry ever intended to let Freddie live after that meeting - the bit about how he and Kevin are going to push Conrad and Maeve aside and would he like a seat at the table just seemed like a lie designed to extract maximum information. So I don't think it's clear whether Freddie's death is directly tied to the identity of the renegade. I also thought it could go either way with Fisk and his partner either being deliberately killed, or that it came as a surprise (though perhaps not that much of a surprise?). Probably a bit of a stretch, but Colin could also be working on behalf of the Harrigans, and could have put this plan in place because the task force was getting too close to them.
  19. I suspected that the person "from Harry's organization" who is involved in the Fentanyl dealings was Harry's sidekick (the dude, not Xosia) since he was so hot to go get involved with things even after Harry told him to stay put. I agree that Brosnan's acting leaves a bit to be desired (though I think that, like Maeve, the character is foolish and hard to take seriously) but I also wonder if that's intentional such that we almost view Conrad as an oblivious buffoon who doesn't realize that his time is over.
  20. She’s a daywalker - a bit darker than that. He's a fine blend of both her and my brand of crazy.
  21. I get the reasoning - kind of an unwinnable situation no matter what he did. I would rather go down swinging than just sit by and get bumped, but I am not an engineer and I don't know the full scope of risk related to the heat sink issues...
  22. Big balls on Peenus Reekay. I like that kid.
