My search parameters are basically anything <$50k, non-Tesla. This will be a commuter car (~50 miles/day round trip) and charged at home every night, so not super worried about range/charging time/supercharger access. Just needs to be big enough for my 2 kids to hop in the back and run errands, etc, on the weekends. A little fun to drive would be a plus.
Here's an exhaustive list I've come up with, cars that you can buy right now today and fit my criteria:
BMW i4 (lightly used, can't be had new for <$50k)
Chevy Blazer
Chevy Equinox
Ford Mustang Mach E
Hyundai Ioniq 5
Hyundai Ioniq 6
Hyundai Kona
Kia Niro
Kia EV6
Nissan Ariya
Toyota bZ4X
Volkwagen ID4
Note that Honda has something also, but I personally have beef with Honda and won't consider them.
Off the bat, we're probably most interested in the Ioniqs, Mach E, and the i4. Haven't dug in to research or driven anything yet. Our other vehicle is a Toyota that we've been really happy with but reviewers unanimously shit on the bZ4X. Might still check it out. I had literally never heard of the Nissan until I started this process.
