SEC Men’s Basketball 2024-2025: Somebody has to be the 16th seed in Nashville
Florida-Alabama game is an offense showcase.

Would RT keep his job if the following happened
Correct. Controlling the burn rate in liquid propellant rockets is easier than the solid propellant ones where they would have non-circular cross-section to keep the desired amount of surface area exposed to the burn as it gets spent.

Plane depends on the air around it to generate lift. Assuming it has strong enough engines to just push up vertically without the need for lift, the engines still depend on the air around them for oxygen to burn the fuel for the thrust, unlike a rocket that carries both the fuel and oxygen with it. We’ll ignore the question about the plane basically being an aluminum can surviving the whole ordeal.

Auburn's last shot was quite bad. Their center should have seen the help defense and passed it off.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
Didn’t we have someone called Learfield sports handle the merchandising and other licensing deals? This may be the aggy version of it. Knowing aggy, the number is probably inflated by how much merchandise can be sold and how much they could make if it were to occur.

CFP expansion discussion
The biggest problem is deciding between 11-1 team not from the top 2 conferences and 9-3 from a top 2 conference because of the difference in the schedule difficulty. One way to resolve this would be to have a, say, last five year ranking of all teams in CFP conferences and then have two of preseason games that elevate/deflate each team’s difficulty based on their, say, last 5 years of schedule ranking. This means Georgia would have gotten G5 teams to balance their very tough conference schedule last year and Texas would have got someone from bottom half of big 12. ASU and ISU would get Washington or Kentucky. This will provide cross-referencing and take away Alabama and Ole Miss whining about SMU and Indiana.

UT's next basketball coach - discussion/debate [Sean Miller Hired]
Yeah, when coach K is near the bottom at 396, there is something fundamentally wrong. There should be a weight factor to beating higher ranked teams, regardless of your own rank. Beating a 7 seed as a 10 seed should be valued lot lower than beating 1 seed as a 4 seed. Even beating a 2 seed as a 1 seed should be valued as a positive value. this is the same reason for all the traditionally top teams showing up as most over-ranked teams in football because there is a very little upside to living up to a pre-season top 5 ranking but a large downside.

I have seen this ad multiple times but don't remember what it is selling. Hats? Also, who sweats more, Pearl or Patterson? At least Patterson is out in the sun.

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Are they embarrassed by their school name? They try their best to avoid A&M on their uniforms.

Super Bowl LIX: Chiefs vs. Eagles
I see comments here about ads that I don't see, and now I realized that the stream I am watching is TSN, a Canadian channel. Was wondering why there were so many Canadian commercials.

KC not taking timeout?

Super Bowl LIX: Chiefs vs. Eagles
KC needs 5 yard completions and mix in runs. They started with short completions.

Super Bowl LIX: Chiefs vs. Eagles
KC is focused on stopping Barkley.

Looks the Windows Mobile (Windows 8?) UI guy found a job.

So we literally have the entire Axis of Evil playing in bowl games tomorrow.
Aggy should be playing Tech for the third best TX team trophy and OU should be playing USC for returning Riley under warranty dispute case.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
It is like the Groundhog Day movie. I periodically check out this thread by clicking the last page and it reads the same as the last time I visited. I suspect this thread will be in this mode long after our season is over.

2024 Playoffs Round 1: Clemson at Texas
Since the home team doesn’t keep any ticket revenue, what’s stopping the home teams from pricing the tickets at the minimum allowed value ($100)?

Bill Belichick Rides Again: Hired at North Carolina to build NIL NFL Factory
This is the more sophisticated version of the Colorado experiment with Sanders. We may as well remove all references to the football players being students.

Texas vs A&M - 6:30pm on ABC
Just look at the clarity of those figures. Even the real size Madame Tussaud’s meticulously made sculptures do not match. How can one think that they are the pictures of ornaments? I guess the Princes of Nigeria have got to eat.

Texas vs A&M - 6:30pm on ABC
If they have to do this charade, my suggestion would be to just put up a fake score showing aggy winning every game, some in thrilling and some in very convincing fashion. Let the dogs be happy and not be miserable. It is not as if they get espn.com in their graves. Unless Lassie dies and reveals the bad news to the other dead dogs that, no, the aggies haven’t won the last 10 national championships. Does the aggy lore include dead dogs talking to each other?
