Agree not to cloak this thread, but I would be dishonest if acquiring a Tesla at this point did not give me pause. Be that as it may...
Most of the newer EVs out there are fascinating, but have crazy MSRP and/or low range. VW van above falls into both categories.
I am seeing a decent 2nd-ary market for Tesla right now. A 2023 M3 Long-range w/ 20k miles is selling for 65% of new - from Tesla. I think they can be had for less elsewhere, too.
I have a 2018 Tesla LR and love it. Like you, not excited about giving Musk more money, but i think it's better than any alternatives at the price point. I'm looking at a plug-in hybrid for my NEXT Cr, unless something new comes up.

Here are my thoughts. Why not have a 24 team playoff?
- No CCG.
- All conference play the same number of conference games (8 or 10).
- 13 game regular season, if there are 10 conference games.
- Eight top seeds get bye regardless of conference.
- First two games are at higher seeds.
- Agreed upon computer models make seedings.

Way off, Clemson at 9 is batshit
OK, swap them out with Tennessee. I think the committee will be looking at regional matchups first.

OK upon further reflection:
Oregon -1
Georgia -2
Arizona St -3
Boise St - 4
Texas - SMU
Penn State - Tennessee
Notre Dame - Indiana
Ohio State - Clemson

Here is my projection:
Oregon - 1
Georgia -2
Arizona St - 3
Boise St -4
Texas 5 - Clemson 12
Penn State 6 - Alabama 11
Notre Dame 7 - Indiana 10
Ohio State 8 - SMU 9

They look really good, or maybe OU just looks really bad?

You guys have drank a lot of the SEC Kool-Aid. SEC is the premier conference, but when you lose to multiple teams with a 6-6 record or not bowl eligible, you don't deserve to make the playoffs.

You are blind. The sec gets 4.
How do you figure? Let me know which 4 teams make the playoffs as of now?

I think Indiana wouldve had an issue if Bama and Ole Miss had both won today. With them at 3 losses, there is no way for a narrative to form to keep them out.
They have to lose 2 or less and they will be in every single year. It's bullshit. But hey, they wont ever win because their schedule is so bad. They always get exposed.
Agreed Bama and Ole Miss had two bad losses, Ole Miss possibly 3.

I think Indiana is basically a lock at this point if they win next week. I just dont see how they will get left out.
Yes, you are probably right, I agree. Probably Clemson will make it if ND loses to USC.

Stop. That was dumb and you should feel bad for posting that. There’s no world where this happens.
I don't see any conference getting in more than 3, unless Notre Dame loses to USC. In that case maybe, IU makes the playoffs.

So this is your final ranking prediction? How do you have SMU losing to Miami and still being 8?
This is where I believe the final 12 will be made up o, base don where we stand today. If SMU loses to Miami, they could fall behind the Big 12 champ, although i don't think the committee will punish a team that makes it to the championship game, unless they are blown out.

I don’t think Iowa St is moving up 10 spots
They aren't but either them or Arizona St will be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

Ohio St - 2
Texas - 3 (Bye)
Notre Dame - 4
Georgia - 5
Penn State - 6

Luckily my medical research company HQs out of Colorado. Thinking about inquiring about relocation, but I'd need to wait until summer 2026 after my youngest daughter graduates.
It's a great place to live other than the obvious. No gerrymandering. Constitutional ballots on the ballot (Abortion and Same-Sex Marriage) are in there permanently, or at least they should be.
