  1. Our running game was good under Choice, and fell off a cliff as soon as he left, and you think that's evidence that Choice isn't a good RB coach. 5.3 ypc when you had 220 carries is very good. Baugh was a workhorse, no other RB on Florida had even 30 carries on the season.
  2. Yeah, I didn't care for Scott at all, but blaming only him for the running game, and not Kyle Flood, would in fact be pretty stupid. Hopefully something is in the works there too.
  3. Choice is a good coach, this board is just unreasonable. Clark and Baxter had catastrophic knee injuries. And he was gone before Simon and Stewart ever showed up.
  4. That was an underwhelming hire when it was made. Big step down from Choice.
  5. I don't disagree, but Berry was a true freshman, he's clearly on a different trajectory than Wisner.
  6. LSU already has a couple of good backs in Caden Durham and Harlem Berry. I can't imagine all 3 of them would want to be in the same place. Lacy is by far the most productive of the bunch though, so Lane probably wants him, but if he gets him, then one of Durham or Berry would probably become available and they are worthwhile portal targets too.
  7. Yeah, the big surprise actually came through last year. It usually is bullshit though.
  8. North Shore lost to SOC earlier this year and the thought was that North Shore had taken a step back losing to a 5AD2 team. But SOC might just be that good, they beat a really good undefeated PNG team easily yesterday 28-0. I wouldn't be shocked to see North Shore beat Lake Travis, but I don't think they can beat the big dog DFW schools.
  9. Penn State’s AD should be fired for this. There is absolutely no reason this couldn’t have happened at least a week ago and you save your recruiting class. They fired Franklin two months ago.
  10. The only reason I can imagine his mom and brother are doing this is because someone from Tennessee is paying them. The kid is from Texas, so it’s not like it’s about him being closer to home.
  11. Oh, I don’t think it hurts any. I do think it’s funny (tragic?) to see people get their hopes up so much for what should’ve been seen as an incredible longshot.
  12. He definitely rethought his situation, but he has almost no relationship with Texas, the decision was likely always between Ohio State and Oregon.
  13. Getting through the gauntlet of UCLA, South Carolina, and North Carolina with just 7 players is insanely impressive.
  14. That's why I said next year. That is giving him grace.
  15. In the era of the transfer portal Sean Miller only gets to blame RT for year 1. Next year's team better look a lot better than this one.
  16. This is very dramatic. They're the only ones who have us out of the top 10 and it's at 11.
  17. We signed arguably the best DL class in the country just last season. I'd guess this is more about NIL allocation. Yes. I'm wondering if they still would've done that if they knew Wells and Cleveland weren't in the boat.
  18. I wonder if the staff would've kept Dylan Berymon if they knew what they know now about both Cleveland and Wells.
  19. Seems like a dumb use of NIL money for us. We have much bigger needs than another HS WR.
  20. Yeah, they took his brother who was committed to South Alabama, I don't think that's justifiable for us. Its just unfortunate that our two flips were at the same position, turned a class strength into a weakness.
  21. There were multiple out of state guys whose recruitments I thought would potentially be dramatic and they just weren't at all. Wesley, Atkinson, James Johnson, Derrek Cooper. Cooper was the only one we ever heard even a little bit of chatter on. Feels like the top guys stay pretty locked in, and its the middle of the class that gets lured away because that's who we aren't willing to get into bidding wars for.
