  1. Wisner was definitely one of the players I was thinking of when I was bemoaning bad agents. That's too bad, he was a decent floor setter in the RB room and we absolutely offered him fair market value.
  2. I honestly think some of this would be cleaned up if you had real regulations on the agents. Some of these guys are morons and giving terrible advice.
  3. What the hell happened to the BYU thing ?
  4. It’s not semantics because I don’t think every player that's leaving is marginal talent. That’s just cope.
  5. Your hypothesis was about depth pieces, if you're going to include starters and proven players, then it's not much of a hypothesis.
  6. This is the same story we hear about almost every portal entry. If true, maybe we shouldn't "agree to a deal" without putting pen to paper. If something was signed at least you could hold some feet to the fire the way Washington is with their QB right now.
  7. We've let 4 starters go, and 2 guys (Barnes and Zina) that were definitely in line to be major contributors next year. Those guys don't fit your hypothesis. Wardell Mack is on that list. I don't even think thats been announced anywhere,
  8. It's 22, but apparently more are on the way.
  9. 22 guys for us now. And 3 of our 7 additions are specialists.
  10. Harris is a comfort hire for Sark, so I’d guess he keeps the job until he makes Sark sufficiently uncomfortable. He’s going to cost a lot more than Zina.
  11. Alright, we get it, please stop clogging the board.
  12. Several depth chart decisions didn't make sense. No way Simon or Clark were worse than Baxter this year. And I still don't know what happened with Neto.
  13. Just in time for what? Y'all couldn't score.
  14. Barnes would be by far be the most damaging portal defection imo. I hope Muschamp can resolve the situation, because outside of that his side of the ball has been fine portal wise.
  15. Thanks for this. The counter though would be that nearly half of the conference went through head coaching changes, and most of those schools have like 30+ transfers. Thats skewing the numbers a lot. We don’t have a head coaching change to blame.
  16. Are you familiar with Jerry Jones?
  17. The problem with this logic is that if an NFL team has injury issues, there's hundreds of borderline NFL players who are unsigned or on practice squads that they can pick up. If a college team has an NFL sized roster and has injury issues, they're fucked, any player worth anything is on a roster somewhere and there is only one portal window now. I'd love to know who we are actually spending money on.
  18. That is not the thing most people are worrying about and you know it.
  19. There's a base level of talent that the staff have already let walk, Barnes, Lefau, Moore, Wisner, etc. If you end up in a spot, where "the next best option" isn't an upgrade from what you let walk, then you've failed in the portal. The more we miss, the closer we are to that reality.
  20. We had to ask Barnes to take a pay cut, so we could pay for all the players we aren't signing.
  21. What is the definition of too small? Because I think most people’s main issue is that Flood’s size fetish goes too far, and there are tons of good OL that don’t fit his narrow parameters.
  22. We really need Uluave or the Wisconsin LB. Who even are our standup LBs still on the roster? I think it’s just Tyanthony and Cunningham, and both of those dudes are small. Cunningham is smaller than most of our DBs. Atkinson is obviously going to play right away, but that’s it.
  23. We are everyone's boogeyman, regardless of if we're actually doing anything or not.
  24. Nah, we play Aggy, let him go to Tech, they'll win the Big 12 and then get destroyed in the playoffs again.
