  1. Agbo makes sense because he is on the west coast, so an announcement now wouldn’t be super unusually late at night like it would be for an in-state kid.
  2. Nahlin is such a dipshit. How tf did we take it for granted? We only expected a commitment today, because they told us there would be a commitment today.
  3. This is the biggest reason the games aren’t moving IMO. Jerry Jones is shockingly generous when it comes to TXHSFB games. I think he just likes the idea of having them there.
  4. Well that’s just stupid. People didn’t believe it because it’s fucking stupid. Even if Kobie does somehow stick at LB, there’s zero chance he’d be an immediate impact guy there. Windmon is an immediate impact transfer.
  5. Katy Paetow, a newer school in the district is in the 5AD1 state title game.
  6. For sure. One of the things that happens is if a kid has parents with money, they can just afford to move to a district with better athletics and thats it. But a kid from a poor family can’t afford to just up and move so he gets helped by a school or a third party, and then they get busted because that breaks the rules. This happens in DISD basketball all the time. That’s a class issue more than a UIL one But I also know of kids who can’t afford to move and get helped by richer surburban schools and nothing happens because the UIL just doesn’t snoop around them as much as they do city schools.
  7. Why isn’t the board exploding, I was told there would be exploding.
  8. That QB is probably the weak link on the team though, think he only has NAIA offers. Duncanville basketball is a whole different beast though. In football they stay pretty much within the South Dallas area and the talent gets split among the other really good programs in the immediate vicinity, Desoto, Cedar Hill, SOC, Lancaster etc. In basketball, they’ve entered a different stratosphere. They aren’t nationally recruiting much, but they definitely recruit throughout the state. And they’re #1 in country type good. UIL is already going after them though, this type of blatant recruiting is usually only allowed for the richer burbs.
  9. Yep, I don’t know how often they update it though. https://247sports.com/Season/2021-Football/CollegeTeamTalentComposite/
  10. Have no idea why he committed to us in the first place if it was that easy for him to flip back.
  11. It’s good to be back in with a Duncanville kid. That is the power program of the DFW now.
  12. Denver Harris is playing, he played yesterday, he did miss some games earlier in the season, but he’s been back.
  13. You guys are forgetting small school guys who are outperforming their locale and want to move up. A guy like Akron WR Konata Mumpfield, who was making freshman all-American teams but is in the portal for bigger opportunities.
  14. I have no idea what Andre Coleman does well for us. WR was one of our worst position groups on the field and now it’s our worst position group in recruiting.
  15. Banks, Hutson, Robertson are committed Campbell, Williams, Agbo, we currently lead for. And we’d still take one of Dewberry or Greene if they wanted to come. But at this point they are just luxury takes. What a crazy turnaround.
  16. That would explain why they were scheduled to play Bishop Sycamore this year before that scam was uncovered. That’s a damn shame, the only in-state team that played them this year in non-district was SOC. And that’s Samples’ alma mater. Would be a trip if they both won state.
  17. Of course, but that’s not what I mean. I’m not talking about general advances in football. Evangel Christian wasn’t recruiting nationally like these powerhouse schools do now. Evangel Christian wasn’t ran like a big time college team. Texas football isn’t declining, there are just a few crazy outliers that exist now, and Mater Dei is one of them.
  18. Duncanville does this every year now, they got beat down by IMG last year I believe. I don’t see the benefit in playing nationally recruited all star teams like that, but I guess they turn out fine come playoff time. Feels like they’re trying to mimic the basketball team that beats national powerhouses on the regular, but football does not work like basketball. What Evangel Christian is/was isn’t close to comparable to what Mater Dei is right now. Not even close.
  19. Duncanville is so much better at the line of scrimmage. They’ve got the better athletes and they’ve played smarter. A lot of stupid penalties on SLC tonight. Even I’m surprised it was this easy. But I knew SLC barely beat Duncanville last year with the #1 recruit in the nation at QB. And Duncanville is at least as good as they were a year ago. So a SLC blowout win never made sense to me.
