  1. Buddy, you don't have to like him. I don't really care. But Gerry is reporting today that he's 281 lbs, and you're disputing that with listed weights on recruiting site profiles that are notoriously rarely ever updated. Oh. ESPN says he 235 lbs! Why would anyone give a shit about that? ESPN recruiting is run by a lone intern in a broom closet somewhere in Bristol, they haven't cared about that in years. Also, ON3 and Rivals are the same thing now. I don't even know how you got two different listed weights there.
  2. If he’s already bulked up to 281 in high school, I feel pretty confident saying the weight won’t be much of an issue.
  3. I don’t think people realize how good Jermaine Bishop is. He’s top 10 all time in TXHSFB career receptions and receiving yards. And he did it in 6A, the highest classification. Only other player to do that is Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is currently the best WR in the NFL.
  4. He should've been an Edge rusher that's the position where he had the highest ceiling. Maybe he didn't want to bulk up and mess up his track speed though.
  5. I think you're just being too literal. Also, Corey Wells is bigger than Cleveland is.
  6. Fuck em. Half of this board has spent all year talking about how much Max Wright sucks anyway.
  7. Best game all year for Wisner and we definitely needed it.
  8. Yeah, the increased scholarship limits, along with the fact that we can push underperforming players into the portal anyway, makes me not upset about the recent takes. But I also understand people not being excited about them, I'm not either.
  9. These final commitments all just seem like lottery tickets.
  10. This is a board filled with people that were here during the Strong and Herman tenures. We aren't pussies like the football board.
  11. I'm gonna be pissed if this is just about the Minnesota RB.
  12. This is a coaches issue at this point. They keep putting his ass out there.
  13. If you didn’t have a problem with those players a few months ago, you shouldn’t have a problem now. The one guy who didn’t put out good senior tape, we let go. Focusing on small changes from the dorks at 247 is stupid. Everyone with any knowledge on the subject already knew the upsides and potential downsides with John Turntine, 247 dropping him from a 94 grade to a 93 isn’t the thing that should set you off, unless you’re a moron.
  14. We also have 3 specialists committed, a kicker, a punter, and a long snapper. That’s 3 of the 7 3-star guys right there.
  15. This made me look up Hunter and Lattimore, they're both still playing. I did not realize Lattimore is at Ole Miss now, its her 4th school. Hunter is at Houston now, her 3rd school.
  16. There are plenty of things to be concerned about, but this isn’t one of them.
  17. 2027 signing day is a long ways away, but given everything else that's going on, I think its fair to question how "all in" Sark and the staff are right now. The current roster construction is really flawed, if we don't hit this next transfer portal extra hard, I'd be ready to sound off a lot of alarms.
  18. North Crowley is actually in Fort Worth and not Crowley and they just won state last year. Of course, they're not FWISD though, so maybe they don't really count.
  19. Was this guy’s name ever brought up by anyone? Feels like our 9.95ers are less plugged in than ever.
  20. If they're willing to take both Lott and Bey, then I have no idea why they waited so late to offer Bey. Ohio State offered him back in January, we offered him 4 days ago.
  21. If we're not going to have even competitive offers, then I'm not sure why we're spending so much time recruiting these 5-stars. I guess Goosby is an exception because of the family connection, but 99% of the time entering these recruitments without being willing to spend big is just wasting time.
  22. South Oak Cliff didn’t give up a single point in district play. Outscored district opponents 371-0. This is why they choose to play such insane non-district schedules, it’s their only chance of competitive situations before the playoffs.
  23. Yeah, we weren't going to get a top QB the year after Dia Bell. Trey Owens was our take the year after Arch, everyone should've been expecting something similar this year.
  24. This team just doesn’t know how to make it easy, but I’ll take any win I guess. The refs fucked us over a couple of times too though.
